Authentication after proxy

I have put the Zope server behind a reverse proxy using ssl. I think I have some of the Apache certificate problems solved. Zope asks me to authenticate once after accepting the ssl cert. But then it asks me to authenticate again and there are more certs to be accepted. I'm sure this is a common enough situation: Zope behind Apache rewrite rules on the target server that all lives behind a proxy server, all using ssl. EpozDocument with single quote and double quote

Hi, It is nightmare for me pasting a content that i copy from MS Word or Notepad inside the EpozDocument if the content has single quote or double quote. It will display the error below and complain about the title but when i remove the quote or re-type it from the keyboard it will not display the error. Please i want to know if somebody has ecperienced this and it was resolved. Thanks. Kamal Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. Zope under vmware is too slow

ZServer uncaptured python exception

Running logtail on a ZEO client, I am seeing lots of these. And our two public clients are pegging the server at 99% almost continuously. External Method in Zope

hi, I am using Zope-2.8.1-final and also added zoperl-1.0.beta5 for perl support . I wrote a Perl module which edit files the file access permission is only to root and i want to invoking the module as onther user . by some way i want to invoke the perl interpreter as root for my user. and i also want to know how the zope call external method. please help me!!

merging zodb's

I have a zodb from a dead zope instance that I wanted to merge in to another running zope. I thought I could use a mount point to do this and just specify the old zodb for the storage in my mount point. alas, this did not work as expect. After making the modification in my zope.conf like this: <zodb_db support > # ssw file store <filestorage> path $INSTANCE/var/srvx-Data.fs </filestorage> mount-point /support </zodb_db> And then restarting zope and adding the mount point -- I see nothing underneath it. So, I assume this is NOT a valid way to merge to zodb's together? Using buildout to distribute projects

Hi, I have a project that consists of an main package and several plugin packages. It is very nice and easy to set this up using buildout using the develop option. But I was wondering if it is possible to use buildout to create a distribution of my project. I want to have it generate egg files from my packages instead of linking to their source, so i can tar the whole buildout folder without my source and distribute that file. That would be really nice because users could just untar that file and call the scripts in the bin folder because all required eggs are available. Another reason for me to use eggs for my packages is that my main package has to send plugins eggs to remote hosts, to keep them up to date. Has anyone an Idea how to do this? Or is buildout not intended for that kind of distribution generation? thank you and best regards, Dennis Kempin
