Odd ZCTextIndex behavior

Hi folks - I've noticed some odd behavior in the ZCTextIndex. I have an index of searchable terms that include, among other things, the author's employer's name. In instances where the company name is a string followed by a number (in this instance, "the451 group"), searching for the number ("451") even with wildcards ("*451*"), only finds references where the number is alone, and not part of any other string. Oddly, searching for "t*451" matches the name. I'm running the binary 2.6.2 (and 2.6.1) releases on linux. This occurrs in both. Any ideas why this would happen? Is this correctable? -jim

Accessing local drive gives error?

I don't understand why anything is trying to look at the "Documents and settings/CLIFFQ/LOCALSETTINGS" folder????? What's going on here - can anyone help? The W2K machine is being run under my name, so that's the user that's being referred to, but that user is an administrator anyway. Can not link to ZOPE: ImportError: DLL load failed

I am new to ZOPE, and I started with examples from 'Advanced ZODB for Python Programmers' by Michel Pelletier, zope.org/Documentation/Articles/ZODB1 and ZODB2. However, I can not import the ZODB modules. zope runtime error after upgrade to 2.6.2

I get this error when calling a method that worked in Zope version 2.4: RuntimeError "external method could not be called because it is None" Here is the code of the method: for image in context.objectValues('Image'): if not image.hasProperty('original_id'): context.makeThumbnail(image.getId()) Any ideas?

inheritedAttribute search order

Ooh, ooh, I know the answer to this one!!! Per the Python 2.3.2 documentation, Section 9.5.1, it's a depth-first, left to right resolution. In the case where more than one base class has a "foo" method/attribute, in what order does inheritedAttribute() search that "foo" attribute ? Base1 -> Base2 -> Base3 ? Base3 -> Base2 -> Base1 ? It seems that zope.org products list as seen in the right column of the zope.org home page includes stuffs that are not made available by the workflow. e.g. "pyWeb literate programming" at the time of writing this mail. --Gilles

Error Checking in DTML

Hi, I have a small problem. I wrote and dtml form with several input fields. After hitting the submit button, I pass one of the variables to an sql call to find. If it is a valid record, I will display my information but if the record is invalid, I see a blank screen. I have goolged around and I did not find any clues to my problem. Analyzing ZODB objects

What is a good tool for analyzing the size of each object in the ZODB, pickled and unpacked in memory? I'm using Zope 2.6.2. With 62,214 objects in memory, the server uses 491MB of RAM. That gives roughly 8kb per object, assuming other things aren't don't contribute to memory usage as well. Is there any way to predict how much memory is going to be used? Bye, -- Bjorn

copy public content to folder

Dear Sir I use Plone for manage my company document. My purpose is that when the staff publish the document from their folder, those content will automatic copy to another folder that I have designated. That mean even though the staff want to delete the content that they purplish from their folder, that content also remain in another folder. Thank you.
