How to get nice traceback like from old versions?

Hi all, with Zope version 2.5.1 I was get nice error messages from source of page. With 2.9.4 I was get error messages in file log/events.log which is better for security reasons, but these messages are not as exact as from old zope which give me point to failure like that: ... Error Type: NameError Error Value: global name 'Mailinf' is not defined ...  Many thanks, JL.

hello everybody! I have a bunch of brains. Their URLs point at a *.cpt file I wanted to be displayed inside the 'main' plone slot, so the usual code: <html metal:use-macro="here/main_template/macros/master"> <body metal:fill-slot="main"> but it doesn't work. Error Type KeyError Error Value '@@plone' this is the cryptic (for me :-) message shown and no help from google..Any idea or link, please? bye! Stefano

google gdata External Method doesn't work script does

Five events and webdav

Hi All, What event should I subscribe to in order to recatalog all of a folder's contents should that folder be renamed via webdav? Installing TextIndexNG3 in ZopeTestCase (long story short)

I've had a morning of annoyed frustration on trying to get TextIndexNG3 to install properly in ZopeTestCase. The problem I described in http://www.nabble.com/ZopeTestCase.installProduct%28%27TextIndexNG3%27%29-t… mysteriously went away some time ago without any reasonable explaination. Now I've created a new product which relies on the old troublemaker and it starts like this: ZopeTestCase.installProduct('ZPsycopgDA') ZopeTestCase.installProduct('PlacelessTranslationService') ZopeTestCase.installProduct('ZCatalog') ZopeTestCase.installProduct('ZCTextIndex') ZopeTestCase.installProduct('Five') ZopeTestCase.installProduct('TextIndexNG3') ZopeTestCase.installProduct('Mest2') ZopeTestCase.installProduct('Design2Mest') ZopeTestCase.installProduct('MailHost') ZopeTestCase.installProduct('Photo') This works when running the tests of Mest2/tests! Mest2 depends on Photo but the ZopeTestCase is clever enough to solve that dependency challange and TextIndexNG3 depends on Five but it works that out too. Now in Design2Mest/test I copied the above lines and wrote a few basic tests and now it no longer works!!! TextIndexNG3 complains (again) about some parsers not being available. What happened was kind of that none of the zcml files of TextIndexNG3 were read or parsed at all. The solution to the problem was to rearrange the order of...: ZopeTestCase.installProduct('Five') ZopeTestCase.installProduct('TextIndexNG3') ...to this...: ZopeTestCase.installProduct('TextIndexNG3') ZopeTestCase.installProduct('Five') ...and then it worked. Lessons learnt: * Five and TextIndexNG3's importing order is very sensitive in ZopeTestCase * Sometimes the order matters sometimes it doesn't * TextIndexNG3 is a brilliant product with excellent features but a large heap of external connections that are hard to debug * Five & ZCML is very hard to debug since there's bucket loads full of "magic" or whatever you want to call it that makes it damn hard to put in conventional print and raise statements to look through tracebacks. * Don't give up PS. Execute a PageTemplate in another context

Is it possible to execute a PageTemplate as if it was located somewhere else? The PageTemplate has this code:: <html> </html> And it's located in a folder called /foo/bar/ which are normal Zope Folder objects. I'm executing this template object from Python code (not from URL travsersal) and the rendered result is: <html>/foo/bar</html> But what if I want to execute it as if it existed in another context, e.g. /barfoo Is that possible? ZODB write delay changes

Hi all, I was upload some DTML methods via FTP, after cca minute or less I was do copy of Data.fs and I was see (after running it with another instance) that these changes are not present. How can I alter ZODB commit time, please? Many thanks, JL.

Cant access 'real' root folder in ZMI

Hi, I recently installed plone 3 on a RHEL 5 server and did some mucking around to get apache working with it. I mostly followed the 'apache-with-plone' tutotial on plone.org to do this. The way it is currently set is as follows: - Plone and zope installed on my server ( eg serverA or 10.10.10.1) running on port 8080 - DNS set to point www.me.com to serverA - Apache set to ProxyPass requests from "me.com:80" to "localhost:8080" (I followed the turtorial mentioned above) - My Plone site accessable from either serverA:8080 or www.me.com However, both these methods lead me straight to the plone website, not to the "Zope Quick Start" page and while i can access the ZMI from plone, serverA:8080/manage or www.me.com/managae, the root folder shown there is the plone site's root folder. Even when i stop apache and access through servera:8080 i still get the plone site. I need access to the 'real' root folder, ie the one with "Control_panel", to set some user roles and permissions, but i cant find a way. I think i must have changed a setting while trying to get apache going, but cant remember what I did and I cant seem to find anything solving this problem on the internet. Can anyone point me in the right direction to solve this problem. Thanks Heaps, Fergus
