I got an STDF version 4.0 binary datalog file reader from http://www.datalogs.org that translates those nasty binary files to plain ASCII text files so that I can see what is inside. The reader consists of some C code and API library routines. If anyone has constructed a DTD definition for Standard Test Data Format (STDF) version 4 we would be grateful if you would share. -thanks

Yes that is what I want, a snapshot. I am working on windows system. What is wget? What does it do? Will it work on Windows. Question is how do I know which objects store data and how many fields (attributes) are there and their data types etc. in each of those objects. If I get all data then I can keep what is needed and provide the option to delete what is not needed. It'll be great if I can get all the data exported to mysql database. how can I enforce my own Delete permission

Hi all, I defined my own permission to delete an object like so: security.declareProtected( 'Delete ZehnderRequests', 'manage_beforeDelete' ) def manage_beforeDelete(self, item, container): "just here to enforce permisson" if not self.portal_membership.getAuthenticatedMember().has_permission('Delete ZehnderRequests', self): raise BeforeDeleteException in the class definition I declare security.setPermissionDefault('Delete ZehnderRequests', ['Manager', 'Owner' ] at the end of the class definition I call InitializeClass( CMFZehnderRequest ) now my problem: every user has the permission set altough only manager should have it. what am I doing wrong here ? thanks for any typ. Problems programatically creating an instance of LocalFS

I am pretty sure the reason I cannot create a LocalFS instance is something stupid, but I can't seem to track it down. Any help would be appreciated. Zope unit testing - users?

ZClass and Add/Permission

Hi, I've got a Problem here with 2 ZClasses I created. The first one - SemsesterClass is derived from ObjectManager, to allow me to put instances of the second - LectureClass - into it. I want to do this with the following code in LectureClass_add: context.LectureClass.createInObjectManager(request['id'],request) But for this I have to be in a manager's role, even though I added the Add Lecture Permission to the webeditor role (which will be used for the logged in users). I reallz do not understand why I have to be a manager to add a ZClass instance to another ZClass and this is not good for my site either. How can I let every user from role X add Lectures to the Semester? I'm using Zope 2.6.1 and exUserFolder for authentication (not in /, but in the folder of my site) Andreas -- You will be the victim of a bizarre joke.

You should know that windows' implementation of webdav contains bugs and is not compliant with the webdav spec. hello and thanks for reading this, i know that zope support webdav. ibackup.com, a commerical company, offers webdav access for a fee. i was wondering if someone had written a zope application that could function as a simple webdav server and a simple user interface to modify it. i am trying to help a school find a free way to use webdav for the teacher's and student while at school and at home. i think that zope should be able to handle this. so any suggestions or advice? thanks, dave
