Dynamic Navigation with ZPT
by Jamie 03 Apr '03

03 Apr '03

Does anyone know how to create a navigation bar that lists the titles of all folders as links, using ZPT something similar to what this would give me in DTML? <dtml-if expr="_.len(PARENTS) > 2"> <a href="..">Return to parent</a><br> </dtml-if> <dtml-in expr="objectValues('Folder')"> <a href="&dtml-absolute_url;"><dtml-var title_or_id></a><br> </dtml-in></p> Thanks in advance, Jamie White Jamie(a)brobus.net

totalling variables
by mehmety 03 Apr '03

Hello, this should be a simple one but..... I've got a setup like <dtml-in some-sql-query> <dtml-in some-other-sql-query-that-uses-an-argument-from-first> </dtml-in> </dtml-in> the second dtml-in gets a total of some products relating to the first dtml-in. I want to total up all the iterations e.g. table looks: ------ first query------------------- -------second------ product description quantity balance I want to get a total of the balance using dtml. (I could add another field onto the database and use sequence-end and total-balance but it should be easily done with dtml.) As usual, any help greatly appreciated Regards, Mehmet

Hello, Dieter! I have solved it using external method. It seems working. what happens when I click restart...
by Tena Sakai 03 Apr '03

Folks, What hapeens when I click Restart button from /Control_Panel of ZMI? Does the stop and start scripts in the zope directory (of server) get executed? I have been doing ./stop and ./start "by hand" and I'd like to know if a single click on Restart button will do the same thing. I am on zope mailing list, but a digest version. Please cc copy of your mail to tena.sakai.b(a)bayer.com. Many thank. Tena Sakai

FTP Access
by Edward Pollard 02 Apr '03

02 Apr '03

As previously discussed, I had initial problems setting up users with FTP since they did not have access to the root of the Zope server (being defined in a LDAP User Folder somewhere down the tree). The inability to create subfolder in their space was the primary symptom, and was resolved by granting FTP Access to Anonymous at the root. However, this has a side effect. You can now log into the server with ANY username and password and see files. You cannot change the files unless you've provided a proper username and password, of course. This is pretty confusing when you mistype your password - everything seems fine until you try to upload something. At that time you get an "Unauthorized" message. There is no indicator that you've just mistyped your password. It seems fairly straightforward that the FTP server is allowing any l/p, and granting "anonymous" access. I'd really like to stop this behavior, and between you and me I think this behavior is aberrant. I thought - perhaps - granting FTP Access to Authenticated at the root of Zope would be a solution, but does not solve the first problem (discussed above). Any thoughts? Edward

Rich-text WYSIWYG editor recommendation
by Robert Jean 02 Apr '03

02 Apr '03

I am looking for a rich-text WYSIWYG editor that easily integrates with Zope or CMF. The editor should support the editing of HTML and/or XML documents. Any recommendation? Has someone integrated Bitflux or Xopus with Zope or CMF? Thanks, Robert __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Dreamweaver or FrontPage templates
by Robert Jean 02 Apr '03

02 Apr '03

Does someone have some experience integrating Dreamweaver or FrontPage templates into Zope or CMF? The idea is that a Dreamweaver or FrontPage template would be "recognized" and processed by Zope or CMF in order to present a nice UI to the content author. Thanks, Robert __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Tax Center - File online, calculators, forms, and more http://tax.yahoo.com

I wrote an EditAddon that hooks into the ZMI and gives you the ability to edit PageTemplates WYSIWYG. I am not sure if this is a good Idea since the HTML looks ugly afterwards.... Its based on the work from others. http://vsbabu.org/webdev/zopedev/ieeditor.html http://stepniewski.info/archives/000041.html I will upload the product in a couple of days... Sent me a mail if you like to test it before. Volker -----Original Message----- From: Robert Jean [mailto:robertjean2@yahoo.com] Sent: Mittwoch, 2. Sendmail tag and port number
by Klimovich Alexander 02 Apr '03

02 Apr '03

Hi, everybody! I have a variable containing port for sendmail tag, say 'port_value'. How should I write it in the <dtml-sendmail>? The variant <dtml-sendmail smtphost="1.1.1.1" port=port_value> when pressing 'Save changes' tells that system can not convert value to int. Are any chances to do it? Thanks, Alexander Klimovich
