Stepper is a framework for scripting and running asynchronous tasks on Zope servers. This is a new release fixing several bugs and introducing some new features. The major changes for this release were: - The location of the config module is now configurable rather than being fixed to Products.Stepper.config - Sub-steps can now be created and used from within steps. - Several new utility steps have been provided. - Bugs in the continue_on_error functionality have been fixed. MailingLogger 3.2.0 Released!

With help from Jens Vagelpohl, I'm pleased to announce a new release of Mailinglogger that now supports filtering of log entries... Mailinglogger enables log entries to be emailed either as the entries are logged or as a summary at the end of the running process. This pair of enhanced emailing handlers for the python logging framework is now available as a standard python package and as an egg. The handlers have the following features: - customisable and dynamic subject lines for emails sent - emails sent with an X-Mailer header for easy filtering - flood protection to ensure the number of emails sent is not excessive - support for SMTP servers that require authentication - fully documented and tested In addition, extra support is provided for configuring the handlers when using ZConfig, Zope 2 or Zope 3. ZOPE and ZEO

BlankIf two diiferent Zope clients are sharing a ZEO storage, then how to adjust siteroot to serve the request coming to individual Zope clients. I am asking because when two Zope servers are up with different URI/subdomain and when I open the ZMI of other Zope client, its siteroot is still pointing to the first Zope client URI. Should I empty the Siteroot value ? Or suggest? I have used mirroring on primary zope client to redirect the request to primary URI to secondary Zope URI . Regards SuSon

from sparc to i386

Hi all! I've an old zope server running 2.6 on an old sparc. We are going to replace it, so I need to move the Zope thing. The problem is that that Zope server is compiled in sparc and I've made some modification to the source code, so I can't just move it on another machine (including the python 2.1 tree) as is. Which are the best options? Recreate the Zope 2.6 installation, python 2.1 installation and replace the Data.fs? TIA :)

IndexError

Hi, I am having IndexError in some of my folders when i tried to view the content of Zcatalog created in these folders, but to my surprise this is not happening in other folders with similar Zcatalog. I am also not experiencing the same problem with objects of the old Zcatalog that I have catalog before this error. In an attempt to correct this error, i had duplicated the old Zcatalog and renamed it. But once i catalog the objects and try to view it, it will show the IndexError again. Increment In PT?

Hi; I´m trying to increment a variable in a page template. Here´s the general idea in my code: <div metal:define-macro="main" tal:define="x python:0"> <tal:block tal:define="x python:x + 1"> <td> <input type="hidden" tal:attributes="value item/name; name python:'item_name_' + `x`"> Now, all of that works...once. That is, it increments from 0 to 1, but not from 1 to 2! Each time I pass through the td element, I need it to increment. I tried putting the tal definition in the td, but then it didn´t even increment once! What do? Hi Jonathan, I'm sure that what you said is right but 1) I tried to change my script performing a manage_add that should be performed after timeout. Conflict errors

BlankHi, I am frequently recieving conflict errors like below in Zope logs. We have ZEO implemented with 2 Zope servers accessing the storage and even then its not minimizing . Could anyone suggest whats happening here that cause this error.
