Inconsistency in the SVN repository with download package (Zope 2.9.8)?

This refers to ZOPE 2.9.8 When I did an analysis with "fsrefs.py" of a Plone database (Data. fs) I got a lot of "missing" messages. I crosschecked the file "fsrefs.py" of the downloaded ZOPE package with the SVN repository. I recognized, that the file from ZODB/tags/3. 6.3/src/scripts commented as "tagged for Zope 2.9.8" (this works perfect, see change history below) is not identical with the on in the download package. TOC ondelete event

Hi, I'm setting up a Session data Manager with a Transient Object Container that call a python script session_delete(sdo,toc). I want to show a message like ("your session was terminated due inactivity") so I tried to write this #PYTHON SCRIPT (NOT EXTERNAL) session_delete(sdo,toc) request = container.REQUEST RESPONSE = request.RESPONSE RESPONSE.redirect(container.mywarningpage.absolute_url()) Launched manually it gives me no errors but when the session is terminated only "onadd" script make effects. Are there not permitted operations in this case? Could anyone explain me where I mistake or another way to do tha same thing? Zope 2.9.X Python 2.4 Centos 4.4 Linux Firefox 2.0.0.5 (Linux and Win XP) I have a dtml method is a folder C and a folder setup / A B C scripts In the dtml method, there is a call to a script passing in a composed string made up of variables passed in through request inside of a dtml-let, <dtml-let someval="scripts.cleanfilename(cgivar1+'_'+cgivar2)" > --- methods that use someval --- </dtml-let> a pattern we have used in many places without a problem. Now, the failing element is part of a method that fundamentally has a if-elif structure and the actual code fragment is embedded in a pair of nested <dtml-in> blocks which have internal <try>-<except>-<else> blocks, but that is all control structure and should not impact name/attribute resolution, or so I believe. A trace through the executing method shows the control flow is functioning as expected. Security settings appear to be correct--and the correct execution of simple test methods (see below) tend to support that conclusion. Moving the script into the same folder as the method (that is, moving it from the folder scripts to the folder C in the layout above) is a workaround, but it breaks our coding conventions. i Simple test methods in folder C <dtml-var standard_html_header> <dtml-let sss="scripts.cleanfilename('able baker charlie ')"> <dtml-var sss> </dtml-let> <dtml-var standard_html_footer> work fine and do not throw the attribute error. I suspect that this is a problem caused by some trivial error, but we've been unable to find it. Any help/suggestions as to how to resolve this puzzle would be appreciated.

Extracting all files from Zope DB

Hello, In order to migrate from Zope to "..." (I don't know yet), we are trying to extract all the information located inside the Zope database. I've found the FTP interface to the Zope database, I can browse inside the subfolder but, I can see any files !? If I post a new file via the web page, a folder is created (I see it via FTP) but the folder is empty ?! Could you please tell me if there is a way to do that ? Could you please give me some hints ? ZCatalog indexes and unit testing

Telling Psycopgda2 to return unicode strings

Hi, I don't know if this is common knowledge, but I couldn't find anything about it on the web. So I hacked it myself. When querying a Postgresql database using unicode in Zope 2.10 via ZPsycopgda2, the adapter will return unicode data in plain strings. To force unicode strings to be returned go to your Products folder and create a directory like ZPsycopgda2SetUnicode. In this directory put an __init__.py file containing this code: import psycopg2 import psycopg2.extensions psycopg2.extensions.register_type(psycopg2.extensions.UNICODE) After this restart Zope. ZPsycopgda2 should now return unicode strings. - Andreas

Hi, I'm having a hard time with page templates using unicode. Here is a simple example: - create a page template called dejavu Encoding is utf-8. Check also your browser character encoding to be set to unicode as well. - put this into the page template.: IMPORTANT: Since this discussion is in ASCII, I can't write the correct deja vu string here. When testing please use the correct spelling. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dejavu :-) <span tal:replace="structure python:u'deja vu'"></span> When I test this template i will not get deja vu but instead garbled characters for e and a.
