Cannot redistribute ZClass product
by pieter claassen 12 Mar '03

12 Mar '03

For some reason, I packed my ZClass product and installed it on a new machine. I thought I gave myself the permissions to modify and further redistribute the product, but alas, when I tried to pack it again on my new machine, it told me that I didn't have permission to redistribute the product. 1. Did I screw the packing up or does this happen normally? 2. How do I hack my product to be able to edit and pack it again for distribution? Thanks, Pieter

Hi, I would like to ask for a little help with the photo and photo folder product. I have installed it on zope, but adding photo dont seems to work with either dtml or python. The syntax i used to add a photo is <dtml-call "manage_addProduct['Photo'].manage_addPhoto(name,title, file)"> and the syntax i used in python is context.manage_addProduct['Photo'].manage_addPhoto(name,title,file). Those 2 ways dont work and the error message from zope i receive is Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: read Traceback (innermost last): File C:\Program Files\skyheavens\lib\python\ZPublisher\Publish.py, line 150, in publish_module File C:\Program Files\skyheavens\lib\python\ZPublisher\Publish.py, line 114, in publish File C:\Program Files\skyheavens\lib\python\Zope\__init__.py, line 158, in zpublisher_exception_hook (Object: skyheavens) File C:\Program Files\skyheavens\lib\python\ZPublisher\Publish.py, line 98, in publish File C:\Program Files\skyheavens\lib\python\ZPublisher\mapply.py, line 88, in mapply (Object: addPhotoScript) File C:\Program Files\skyheavens\lib\python\ZPublisher\Publish.py, line 39, in call_object (Object: addPhotoScript) File C:\Program Files\skyheavens\lib\python\Shared\DC\Scripts\Bindings.py, line 252, in __call__ (Object: addPhotoScript) File C:\Program Files\skyheavens\lib\python\Shared\DC\Scripts\Bindings.py, line 283, in _bindAndExec (Object: addPhotoScript) File C:\Program Files\skyheavens\lib\python\Products\PythonScripts\PythonScript.py, line 291, in _exec (Object: addPhotoScript) (Info: ({'script': <PythonScript instance at 01849B40>, 'context': <Folder instance at 01783810>, 'container': <Folder instance at 01783810>, 'traverse_subpath': []}, ('picuture', 'a new picture', 'C:\\WINDOWS\\Desktop\\shirt-design\\cover2.jpg'), {}, None)) File Script (Python), line 1, in addPhotoScript File C:\Program Files\skyheavens\lib\python\Products\Photo\Photo.py, line 654, in manage_addPhoto AttributeError: (see above) I hope that you can help me with this. OpenFlow hints (?)
by Jan Maška 12 Mar '03

12 Mar '03

Hi all, is anybody experienced in OpenFlow? I'm researching it just now and I find the documentation less than weak. There's no example, demo of any kind.. I'd be grateful if any of you could give me a few hints on how to get started with simple workflow setup, roles assignment, etc. Thanks in advance.. -Mac =============================== Jan Maska, web developer Systinet, Prague(CZ) jan.maska(a)systinet.com tel.:(+420)608453492 visit http://www.systinet.com ===============================

Zope wishlist/feature requests
by Mario Valente 12 Mar '03

12 Mar '03

Hi: I dont know if there's someplace/tracker where zopers can input their feature requests or wishlists. We have some free time available that we thought might be dedicated to do some needed Zope feature and would like to know what might be useful. From past msgs and from the top of my head: - Web services (XMLRPC,SOAP,WSDL,UDDI) - POP/IMAP client - Usenet client - Project management Anyone care to add/suggest others ? Or a place to find them ? Giving out STDOUT
by Sorin Marti 12 Mar '03

12 Mar '03

Hi all, I wrote an external method which compiles a TeX-Source with latex2html. It's very simple... it only calls the command with os.system('latex2html /path/to/uploaded_files/%s' %file.filename) This command causes an output like "This is latex2html version..." and so on. Now I want to give out this Output in a Textarea on a zope site. Is this possible in a way? I tried to do that with the return value but it didn't work... any ideas? System: SuSE linux, zope 2.6.1 Thanks a lot mas

Photo objects catalog-aware?
by darran.edmundson＠anu.edu.au 12 Mar '03

Are photo objects catalog aware? Probably not as there's no mention of it on: http://www.zope.org/Members/rbickers/Photo/README.txt On a related note, has anyone already modified the code to use the PythonMagick wrapper of ImageMagick: http://pythonmagick.procoders.net/ rather than pipes. Cheers, Darran. --------------------------------------------- This message was sent using Endymion MailMan. http://www.endymion.com/products/mailman/

Re: [Zope] Image management in Zope
by Jaroslav Lukesh 12 Mar '03

12 Mar '03

Hi Jens &@, I dont give you answer, but I will learn to you how to effectivelly search informations about Zope products and howtos. Type following URLs in your two windows of browser: http://www.zope.org/Products/all_products?pp=1&batch_size%3Aint%3Arequired=9 99 http://www.zope.org/Documentation/How-To/index_html?pp=1&batch_size:int:requ ired=999 (be quiet, it takes few minutes to downola these pages, you will about a minute see nothing) Do a text searches at both these pages for "image", "img", "picture" and "photo" at each page. Then you will have overview of all products and howtos at Zope. Regards JL. PS Sorry for HTML format, it is due long links. ---------- Odesílatel: Jens JB. Bjerre <jens(a)bkinformatik.dk> I would like to make a site, where the user can upload an image in any size. The site then have to convert the image to jpg or another optimized format. After that I would like to be able to display the picture in a form of shop-system, in different sizes. I have been looking at the Photo product, and it seems like it is close. I just can't see how I convert the image upon upload.

ER: [Zope] Creating a LocalContent object from a Python script

Thanks, Dieter. This has put me on the right way, but I still can't get it. The LocalContent object is a class from the Localizer product, so I tried: container.manage_addProduct('Localizer').manage_addLocalContent('whateve r_id','en es') The container is an ObjectManager (a folder, to be precise), Localizer is the product and manage_addLocalContent is the constructor, which I think takes two arguments, the id and a string containing the languages. But it always gives me an error: Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: __call__ Troubleshooting Suggestions: The URL may be incorrect. The parameters passed to this resource may be incorrect. A resource that this resource relies on may be encountering an error. Any ideas, anybody? Igor Leturia

zserver log and awstats
by AM 12 Mar '03

12 Mar '03

Has anobody been able to do that?? My log file format looks the way it needs to look to awstats, but awstats keeps coming back with bad log format error. The format spec in my awstats conf file: LogFormat = "%host %other %logname %time1 %methodurl %code %bytesd %refererquot %uaquot" If this is not doable is there any way to make zope log in the apache combined log format. Any help would be appreciated. CMFCollectorNG how to questions?
by Asad Quraishi 12 Mar '03

12 Mar '03

I should have mentioned that I tried creating a CollectorNG doc type in my portal, filled in the configure and staff tabs - this worked fine. All tabs are accessible except 'browse' and 'new issue'. When I click on these I get the error: Error Type NameError Error Value global name 'member' is not defined If I could get beyond this I may not need a manual. Thanks again.
