template wrapper for stx
by David Bear 31 Jan '03

31 Jan '03

I'd like to create a page template. Call it showMe. I want showMe to format/pretty a structured text document. I would like to use shoeMe to create meta tags for the a subset of the dublin core, add navigation elements to the output .. may add something later. However, I'm running rings around myself with terminology. Let's say I have a folder called /infoSource/ within /infoSource/ I have my showMe template. then within /infoSource/ I have a folder object called docStore. It is docStore that 'holds' all my structured text documents. So I could theoretically use /infoSource/docStore/coolFile/showMe and rely on aquistion to find showMe? but then how do I pass the 'coolFile' into the showMe template? any TALES and other advice would be appreciated. -- David Bear College of Public Programs/ASU Mail Code 0803

Some people are having problems subscribing to the new list. I think this is because the list is using mailman 2.1. I'll let folks know when it's fixed, with a *final* cross posting ;-) Seb

TextIndexNG with DocumentLibrary
by Ken Dobruskin 31 Jan '03

31 Jan '03

Is it true that TextIndexNG cannot be used with Document Library? I'm using Zope 2.5.1. I can add a TextIndexNG in a normal ZCatalog, but not in the DocumentStore of DocumentLibrary. Has anyone succeeded? Sorry if this is a FAQ.. Best, Ken

Adding Properties to Folder Objects via a Zope Python Script
by Asad Habib 31 Jan '03

31 Jan '03

Hi. I was wondering whether any of you know if it is possible to create properties for Folder objects using a Zope Python script that can then be invoked from a DTML method. I know that this is possible using Zope's management interface, but this procedure is not scalable. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. -Asad __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now. http://mailplus.yahoo.com

ConflictError on intSet after 2.6 migration breaks squishdot (ZCatalog):
by Ivo van der Wijk 31 Jan '03

31 Jan '03

Hi All After upgrading to Zope 2.6.0 (from 2.3.3 - 2.4.4), I found the following error in my stupid.log 2003-01-30T18:53:44 ERROR(200) Zope Couldn't install OFSP Traceback (innermost last): Module OFS.Application, line 700, in install_product - __traceback_info__: OFSP Module ZODB.Transaction, line 222, in commit Module ZODB.Transaction, line 195, in commit Module ZODB.Transaction, line 256, in _commit_objects Module ZODB.Connection, line 389, in commit - __traceback_info__: (('intSet', 'intSet'), '\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x05x', '') Module ZODB.FileStorage, line 705, in store ConflictError: database conflict error (oid 0000000000000578, serial was 034a18174c3503ee, now 0000000000000000) ------ 2003-01-30T18:53:44 PROBLEM(100) Zope No such file or directory: /var/Zope/instances/cc26/Products/PlugIns/help ------ 2003-01-30T18:53:44 ERROR(200) Zope Couldn't install ZCatalog Traceback (innermost last): Module OFS.Application, line 700, in install_product - __traceback_info__: ZCatalog Module ZODB.Transaction, line 222, in commit Module ZODB.Transaction, line 195, in commit Module ZODB.Transaction, line 256, in _commit_objects Module ZODB.Connection, line 389, in commit - __traceback_info__: (('intSet', 'intSet'), '\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x07\x8b', '') Module ZODB.FileStorage, line 705, in store ConflictError: database conflict error (oid 000000000000078b, serial was 034a1817514f2bb3, now 0000000000000000) I've already found out that explicitly deleting ZCatalog and OFSP from /Control_Panel/Products fixes these startup errors (they're not ZClass products, and come back after a restart). However, we're currently upgrading squishdot as well, and now we get the same exception each time when adding a new post (probably due to ZCatalog updates) - the posts aren't added, of course Module ZODB.Transaction, line 256, in _commit_objects Module ZODB.Connection, line 389, in commit __traceback_info__: (('intSet', 'intSet'), '\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x16\xf2\xd1', '') Module ZODB.FileStorage, line 705, in store ConflictError: database conflict error (oid 000000000016f2d1, serial was 034976c696679466, now 0000000000000000) So, what's going on here? Does anyone know how to fix this? It breaks squishdot beyond repair at this moment, and we need Zope 2.6 for it's improved memory management. -- Drs. DTML in ZPT
by Martin F Krafft 31 Jan '03

31 Jan '03

Since I have just started with Zope, I am doing ZPT straight and avoiding DTML when I can. Every now and then, I have to use it though. So I am wondering: is there a way to integrate a DMLT Document within a ZPT template, similar to how I'd use a macro in METAL? -- Martin F.
