Catalog
by Chris Muldrow 06 Jan '03

So, more Catalog weirdness. I moved my data to a naked server, cleared the Catalog and went to "find object" to reindex everything. I was running Zope in debug mode, and this is what I got: 2003-01-03T16:31:16 ERROR(200) ZODB Couldn't load state for '\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x16\xc1\xc4' Traceback (innermost last): Module ZODB.Connection, line 507, in setstate Module ZODB.FileStorage, line 619, in load Module ZODB.FileStorage, line 593, in _load POSKeyError: 000000000016c1c4 ------ 2003-01-03T16:31:16 ERROR(200) ZODB Couldn't load state for '\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x16\xc1\xc4' Traceback (innermost last): Module ZODB.Connection, line 507, in setstate Module ZODB.FileStorage, line 619, in load Module ZODB.FileStorage, line 593, in _load POSKeyError: 000000000016c1c4 ------ 2003-01-03T16:31:16 ERROR(200) ZODB Couldn't load state for '\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\r\x0f\xa7' Traceback (innermost last): Module ZODB.Connection, line 507, in setstate Module ZODB.FileStorage, line 619, in load Module ZODB.FileStorage, line 593, in _load POSKeyError: 00000000000d0fa7 ------ 2003-01-03T16:31:16 ERROR(200) ZODB Couldn't load state for '\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\r\x0f\xa7' Traceback (innermost last): Module ZODB.Connection, line 507, in setstate Module ZODB.FileStorage, line 619, in load Module ZODB.FileStorage, line 593, in _load POSKeyError: 00000000000d0fa7 /var/www/zope/zope260c1/lib/python/SearchIndex/__init__.py:19: DeprecationWarning: The usage of the SearchIndex package is deprecated since Zope 2.4. Newbie Question: date formatting/Context
by Ashley Lloyd 06 Jan '03

06 Jan '03

I am new to Zope and OOP, so please bear with my ignorance and stupidity!! I am attempting to retrieve a Date from an interbase DB (using Kinterbas) into Zope (v 2.5.1), but not in the YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.ss format that it wants me to. I am having trouble with this, and have installed mxDateTime in an attempt to resolve the problem. I have written a small Python script in Zope to confirm that it works, and it doesn't. I get errors. the script and error are below: ************************************************************* from mx.DateTime import * while 1: return now().hour ************************************************************* Error Type: Unauthorized Error Value: You are not allowed to access DateTime in this context ************************************************************* Can anyone help with either (or both!) problem(s)? Kind regards Ashley _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963

searching
by Catonano 06 Jan '03

06 Jan '03

Hello list, Happy New Year! Well, I created a Z Search interface, I fill in the PrincipiaSearchSource field and I got back a table with results inside of it. I modified the results table so taht it gives me some LINKS to every file it shows, so I can even click on them and be taken to the found files. Fine Now what I'd LOVE is that when I click on one of those links, the page that opens has got the matching strings highlighted somehow, say: bla bla blah matched string blah bla blah Can anyone suggest me how? thank you all!! Bye Catonano

CMFCore.DirectoryView
by Elena Schulz 06 Jan '03

06 Jan '03

Hi, I try to connect ZPT to my local Filesytem. Previouesly I used localFS and DTML which worked nicely. But according to an earlier post by Dieter I learned that I should use DirectoryView from the CMFCore now. But thats not so easy as I found. Does the registration have to be done on every serverstart again? (How to automate it if so?) How to add new extensions and metatypes? Up to now I succeeded to register an arbitrary Directory on my local FS and different MetaTypes with the external Method given below. But a corresponding klass has to be given for the registration. How to do that using classes like the 'FSObject' return bad file error when I try to view the object in ZMI. Does anybody know about that? (Or how to use local FS under ZPT?) -- many thanks for your replies, Elena the code: from Products.CMFCore import FSObject from Products.CMFCore import DirectoryView DV=DirectoryView def registerLocalDir (my_dir='my_absolute_FS_path', prefix="", extList=['css', 'js'], metaList=['Style Sheet'], subdirs=0): DV.registerDirectory(my_dir, prefix, subdirs) klass=FSObject for ext in extList: DV.registerFileExtension(ext, klass) for mt in metaList: DV.registerMetaType(mt, klass) return

[ beno] > Okay, so I've got this: > > <dtml-call expr="REQUEST.get('HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE')"> > > How do I return the value of the expression to my script? You do not have to call it, REQUEST['HTTP_ACCEPT_LANGUAGE'] IS the value. You can pass it like you would any other parameter, or have your script ask for it directly. It will be a string like this: en-us,en;q=0.5 > If my language is > *en*, how do I return this to use it in redirecting the > client? Just look up how to do redirects. Cheers, Tom P

[ANN] TextIndexNG 1.08 released (Bugfix release)
by Andreas Jung 06 Jan '03

06 Jan '03

TextIndexNG 1.08 has just been released. This release is a bugfix-only release without any new features. The versions 1.05 - 1.07 have a serious bug in the TXNGSplitter that might cause some data corruption when working with unicode properties (Zope 2.6+). IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO UPGRADE YOUR INSTALLATION TO VERSION 1.08 IF YOU ARE USING UNICODE PROPERTIES. Installations working on non-unicode data are NOT affected. Using the Photo Product
by Ed Leafe 06 Jan '03

06 Jan '03

First, thanks to all who helped me get the Photo product installed and working. I'm now trying to set up a test page to view the photos. If I use the following tag: pic the picture displays perfectly. However, if I try to set the display size with the following tag: pic I get the following error: Error Type: ImportError Error Value: The _imaging C module is not installed I followed the final instruction of the "Using PIL with Zope" page (http://www.zope.org/Members/regebro/PIL_zope) and copied the files into [zopebase]/lib/python directory. If I start python from the command line (running [zopebase]/bin/python ), I can successfully import Image (import PIL.Image), so why can't Zope find/use those libraries? I'm sure that I'm missing something pretty basic here. ___/ / __/ / ____/ Ed Leafe http://leafe.com/ http://foxcentral.net
