Well, just do a tal:repeat over whatever it passed to the ZTUtils.batch constructor... In this instance, you could just change: batch python:modules['ZTUtils'].Batch(results, size=12, start=start) to: batch results tal:repeat is what's doing the key work here, not Batch... cheers, Chris

Re: [Zope] Structured text and ISO-8859
by Jaroslav Lukesh 29 Jul '02

You need to set Locale in z2.py. For Windows and iso-8859-2 (czech character set) it is "cz" (linux is "cs_CZ"). For iso-8859-1 I does not know your locale. Regards J. Cataloging objects with a property set
by Heimo Laukkanen 29 Jul '02

29 Jul '02

Hi all, this is just a small tip - that you all propably know, but which hasn't been mentioned that often. How do you use ZCatalog to catalog for example all your page template-files, but leave those files out that are not intended for the public to see - for example the master templates that only control the layout. Answer is to use ZCatalogs expression field and properties of objects. For example I put to my those PageTemplates that I don't want to see in the search a new property called search and 0 as a value. And to expression field while searching new objects I put: getProperty('search', d=1) This way the ZCatalog will catalog all the PageTemplates that fit with the other requirements of the query and do not have search-property set to 0. The secon parameter - like said in the API - says that if search-property is not set, then this value will be given. Hope this helps others! -huima

Problem with Cookieless Sessions on Mozilla and Netscape
by Mark Bucciarelli 29 Jul '02

29 Jul '02

I can't get cookie-less session in Mozilla. They work fine in IE. This is the python script I am using to run the test: ## Script (Python) "testSession" ##bind container=container ##bind context=context ##bind namespace= ##bind subpath=traverse_subpath ##parameters= ##title= ## session = context.REQUEST.SESSION if session.has_key('mb'): return 'second time' else: session['mb'] = 1 return 'first time' I am running the 2.5.1 binary on Windows XP. Both Mozilla (Build ID: 2002053012) and Netscape 4.51 show 'first time', no matter how many times I refresh. Any ideas? Thanks. Mark

Re: [Zope] ZCatalog : Z Class? then my challenge?
by Hamzat Kamal 29 Jul '02

29 Jul '02

I have a site which uses server date to iterate over the folders and display the teasers / links which matches with the server date. I have reviewed the codes several times bcos my host always complain that the iteration been performed on the server when the traffic is high bring down the site. <dtml-call "REQUEST.set('mm', ZopeTime().toZone('GMT+1').strftime('%d%m%y'))"> <dtml-in "news.objectValues(['Folder'])"> <dtml-let number=sequence-number path=id> <dtml-if expr="number < _.int(num)"> <dtml-try> <dtml-with "_.getitem(mm,0)"> <font face=arial size=-5> <dtml-var expr="_.getitem(mm,1)[0:400]">... <br> <a href="&dtml-ngrHome;news/&dtml-path;"> <img src="images/morex.gif" border="0" width="60" height="23"> </a><br> <dtml-if expr="number < _.int(num)-1"> <hr size="2" width="75%"> </dtml-if> </font> </dtml-with> <dtml-except> </dtml-try> </dtml-if> </dtml-let> </dtml-in> Now alot of people have suggested I should use Catalog for the searching. I considered the advise but finding it tough to do exactly what the above code is doing for me. I will appreciate any support you can avoid to render. Regards. > Don't use Z Classes.
