a simple question about find

Hello all-- I've successfully added a catalog to search for my attributes in my custom ZClass. Zope finds and displays my objects correctly. However, the URL to access the object is broken. The object IDs are not URL-encoded correctly and the spaces in some of my object IDs cause problems. Are spaces disallowed as object IDs (so far, Zope has only complained when I tried to add an object with a forward slash in the name)? Or (more likely IMO), is this a configuration option that I've missed? Thanks in advance. --Brad

Hi! I have a PytonScript with proxy role 'Manager', and it's ok, it can add any product to the container, but container.manage_copyObjects, manage_pasteObjects and manage_clone ask for manager password. Is it a bug? Thanx Lac

Thomas; You've probably already received a response on this, but you need to use <dtml-sqlvar VARNAME> instead of <dtml-var VARNAME> in the query. For example: select * from elope_moviereviews where emr_id = <dtml-sqlvar emr_id> I wasn't clear on what you intended with the <dtml-var sql_delimiter>, so I've left it out here. I'm trying to use a very simple SQL query against a MySQL database, a sql-method called sqlViewMovieReview taking one parameter emr_id, an integer-value: select * from elope_moviereviews where emr_id = <dtml-var emr_id><dtml-var sql_delimiter> It works great then tested in the ZMI-test interface, but fails when used in a page, like when i test it like so : http://localhost:8080/MovieReviews/dmMovieReviewDetails?emr_id=4 Error reported : (1064, "You have an error in your SQL syntax near ' LIMIT 1000' at line 2") The DTML Method used over : <dtml-with expr="sqlViewMovieReview(emr_id='<dtml-var emr_id>')"> <dtml-var title> </dtml-with> Looked around on the net and found some references to the error, for instance http://linux.bryanconsulting.com/stories/storyReader$75. renaming users

I've been asked to change the usernames of our users from something stand-alone to their email address. Searching the web I didn't find anything related to this. I figure if I can get the password (I am the Admin) then I can at least delete and re-add. Has anyone done this before or does anyone know how to get at this? -- Bryan C. Hello - I've just discovered Zope. I read Reuven Lerner's introduction article in Linux Journal http://www.linuxjournal.com/article.php?sid=5619 and I am excited about Zope!! I visited your download page and found ver2.51 for win32 platform. Will this version work with Windows 2000 pro? If not, which version should I download? I'm using the input from a form to generate an email for a manager to either approve or reject a specific action. I thought the easy way to do this would be to create a random named DTML document, fill it with logic, and then put an ACCEPT and a REJECT link to it in the email. This works fine as long as I don't need to use quotes in the data string for manage_edit: manage_edit('<dtml-var standard_html_header>',title) But, this doesn't really do much for me. Thanks much for the reply. When I try to use restrictedTraverse or unrestrictedTraverse in my python script I always get the error: Error Type: NameError Error Value: global name 'restrictedTraverse' is not defined I did spell it correctly and mine looks like the examples I find on the net.
