Can't paste or rename some objects

When I try to rename or paste a folder object, I get this error: Error Type: Bad Request Error Value: The id "Pictures" is invalid--it is already in use. Here's the folder structure / Cactus (Folder) AloeVera (CustomPlantProduct) Pictures (PhotoFolder) pic1.gif (Photo) pic2.gif (Photo) Tags (PhotoFolder) tag1.gif (Photo) tag2.gif (Photo) I am trying to either rename Cactus folder to CactusOld or (preferably) copy/paste it to another folder in the site. Object permissions in External Methods

I'm not quite sure how to do this, and the documentation that I have been browsing through hasn't been all that helpful, so I hope someone out here can help me with this seemingly simple situation. I want to read an XML file (currently read as a textfile, but will be passed as a parameter) and then change it into a Python Object where one can then dtml-in through the Heirarchy of the Document... this is what I have... -- import gnosis.xml.objectify as xp from AccessControl import ClassSecurityInfo from Acquisition import Implicit import Globals def xml_to_py(self): object = xp.XML_Objectify('/tmp/sample.xml') returning = object._PyObject return (returning) -- Whenever I run this, I keep getting an unauthorized error with no acceptable login correcting this. I've run into this before, but it was only fixed when I redefined an object that I have created before, not something that is pushed out from a library like this. Suggestions? Could you start it by loading an URL instead, using "wget" or "curl"? Xron is a limited product that only allows one thread, but Zope allows several. On the other hand, do you need Zope? Maybe you'd be better off with just StandaloneZODB. Shane

CMF puzzlement

Hi all, Just trying Zope and CMF for first time and finding it very hard. My URL is http://pkirk.net.dhis.org/captain and I have the default CMF installed. I can register. But if the new user changes skins, they can no longer clich on the 'Home" link. If they change back, it works again. Anyone know if this is a bug or am I setting up something wrong? Patrick

When I log into my portal and go to the page with the snippet of code shown below, I only see the folders owned by 'admin'. All other folders are missing. I do not see an unauthorized exception. When I say "description field", this is what I mean. If I log into the portal and go to 'Folder Contents' then click the 'New' button and add a 'Folder', I get prompted for an ID and a description. This is the description field I am interested in automatically putting data into. I can enter data into the description field of the current folder using context.setDescription("My description goes here"). Now, I guess I just need to find a way to use that on folders other than the current one. Thanks! comparing dates

In Zope 2.4.0 it renders STX OK (but underlined text not!), in Zope 2.5.1 it renders as shown: Source structured text: **bold ěščřžýáíé**, *italics ěščřžýáíé* a _underline ěščřžýáíé_.
