Gang, isn't there something like SQLFile? I'd like to collect all SQL-queries in one or more files and incorporate them into a product with a call like this: SQLFile(myVeryFineInstance, 'myVeryFineQueries') and /myVeryFineInstance/ will be endowed with every query in the file as a member-function. I got two hits from searching for /SQLFile/ on Zope.org, but there is no software involved with them, or so it seems. Miklos Nemeths /SQLSession/ uses a clever and fairly practical technology to implement an Ersatz-'SQLFile'. The disadvantage of his approach is that interactive ad-hoc-changes to the queries for debugging have to be duplicated in the .py-files after debugging, so an SQLFile would be more handy. Zope hosting and support vendors

Hi, I'm developing a content management sytem for a large (8,000 user) intranet. My client will be building on additional applications as the intranet evolves. I am looking for a hosting solution that can provide backup and recovery, server configuration, and performance optimization (to inlcude potentially distributing the application over multiple boxes). I found a number of providers on zope.org (http://www.zope.org/Resources/ZSP) that specialize in hosting (as opposed to companies that focus primarily on development and provide hosting as an additional service). They are: New Information Paradigms (http://www.nipltd.net/) IMeme (http://imeme.net) and Bay Mountain (http://www.baymountain.com/services/managedHosting) An additional requirement is 24x7 help desk support for end-users. The support provider would need to learn and become comfortable with the specific application I am developing as well as other apps that would be added in the future. The only one that seemed to fit this description is http://www.connexusinc.com/Services/services.html. I'm wondering whether anyone can point me in the direction of additional candidates for this evaluation, or if anyone has had experience with any of these vendors. Many thanks! ZCatalog textindex question

Hi... I've created a new ZCatalog with a TextIndex and a TextIndexNG (as well as several FieldIndexes). My objects are cataloged and uncataloged programatically throught "catalog.catalog_object" and "catalog.uncatalog_object" methods. My problem is simple : after several deletions, I only have 5 objects referenced in the catalog, but TextIndex and TextIndexNG always say that 11 objects are referenced. Is it normal ?? Hi, How suited is Zope as an application server for tasks you would do in JBoss if you were using Java? I'm thinking e.g. like a message routing engine having persistent connections to different external systems, routing objects that know their state and routed by Zope according to the state. API doc and standard_html_header

Hi! Just getting to know Zope, so excuse me for any boring questions... Is there an inheritance tree doc for ZClasses/Zope or an alternative API doc except for the ones in online help and ZopeBook? And why is there no <!DOCTYPE> tag in the standard_html_header? Thanks for any informations! Martin

List, I'm trying to set the src attribute of the img tag to the url of a cgi script, including the query string. When returning this value from python, the ampersands in the query string get substituted into & entities. Is there a way to turn this off? (Please reply to all, since I'm not on this list) -- Alex

Attribute error __call__

hi everyone, I am working on a treemenu based on Mike Renfro's 'new generation sitemap' and have modified slightly the scripts to do some extra filtering of the objects before they are added to the treemenu. Zope 2.4.1 binary with large file support

Hello, I am using Zope 2.4.1 under Windows 2000 server. I heard that the Zope server crashes when the file Data.fs comes to over 2 GB. It did happen on my server. I am looking for Zope 2.4.1 binary with large file support or how-to document to compile Zope 2.4.1 source with large file file. I would appreciate very much if anyone can shed some light on it.
