I'm trying to get WebDAV working, and I'm having trouble. I've got the server listening on port 8081 for WebDAV (-W 8081), and I've set the WebDAV security settings for the main folder to be 'manager' level access. Is there something else I can do? standard_error_message oddities

I've been trying to figure out why my standard_error_message wasn't being called. Ends up it is being called. German Content Management Framework

Gang, I plan to translate the CMF into German. My hope here is that it is obsolete because someone else has done it for me. I have searched for such a thing to no avail, though, so I guess I got to bite the bullet myself (anyone who begs to differ -- go ahead, make my day!) As far as I can tell at this point, the CMF is not localized, i.e. there are no provisions for pulling the translation for a given snippet of text out of some repository at run-time. Since this whole idea is not necessarily all that great, I will translate the CMF statically, <one>content</at> and one "string" at a time and make it something like a German distribution. The job is not as straightforward as I'd like to think, though. The CMF is constantly under development and I don't want to start from scratch whenever the community ships a new release. It would be nice to have some tool-support for insulating and indexing content between tags and text in strings in order to have at least SOME automatization. Has anybody seen such a thing somewhere? url_quote_plus inside of RESPONSE.redirect

Hello all I have a variable called "query" which contains a search query. For example:"mäßig Genügsam" (with german special characters ;-) With <dtml-var query url_quote_plus> I can use it inside of an anchor tag like this: <a href="/MyZCatalog/report?query=<dtml-var query url_quote_plus>"> But how do I get url_quote_plus in this case? <dtml-call "RESPONSE.redirect('/MyZCatalog/report?query='+query)"> In this case no special characters are "url_quoted". I know I could use javascript here, but I want to avoid this. textarea/newline-mess

Gang, I have a textarea-form here that looks like this: <form action="manage_addTEXT" blabla... <textarea blabla> </textarea blabla> </form> The function manage_addTEXT(self, TEXT="") gets the text from textarea as string in TEXT. It splits the text by using string.split(TEXT, '\n') into lines and stores each line in a database. For editing the TEXT I use a .dtml-script that re-assembles the text line by line: <textarea><dtml-in sqlFetchTEXT><dtml-var LINE></textarea> Please note, that I write it all without any spacing between the tags. One could think that this results in having the lines being displayed in the textarea like this: Line00Line01Line02Line03 but thats not the case. For some reason we see Line00 Line01 Line02 Line03 How's that possible? string.split() removed all the newlines. If I check the database via select LINES from TEXTBASE I see that each line is, in fact, stored separately. If I call manage_addTEXT() directly, however, i.e. not from a form, and pass a bunch of lines to it: manage_addTEXT(TEXT="ichi\nni\san\nshi\n") I end up with all lines concatenated into a single line in my edit-form that so nicely displays the put in via a form. Why is this so? There must be something about how \ns are conveyed via HTTP and how Zope handles it what I don't know. Theories, anyone? <dtml-with> / <dtml-in> bug or mistake?

hi When I try somehting like this in a dtml-method: <dtml-with "projectxy.showContent.concepts"> <dtml-var template> </dtml-with> everything works fine. Also with <dtml-in>... When I instead try it like this (with <dtml-in> or <dtml-with>) with a folder which has a number in the id field, I recieve a syntax error! <dtml-with "projectxy.04templates.concepts"> <dtml-var template> </dtml-with> After removing the "", I recieve a Key Error: Error Type: KeyError Error Value: projectxy.04templates.concepts Is this a bug or a mistake of my own? regards ./simon

Hi, What are the Zope rules in which a variables are classifed as a global variables? Can I define a varaible to be placed in the global stack? If so how?
