ASP and ZOPE

Hello, Is there any solution for legacy code of ASP in Zope Template? I was thinking in a Zope product to make something like a proxy from ASP pages to Zope Template? This product will make a call to IIS ASP Server and parse HTML code in order to adapt it to Zope Template. It is only an ideia. I don't know if it will run very well. -- Marco Catunda

no properties tab for portal_skins

I'm starting to use CMF 1.2 and I've created a new directory in the portal_skins tool. I'd like to make this skin available to users and my understanding is that I need to add this directory name to the list of skins in the Properties tab of portal_skins. Unfortunately, portal_skins doesn't show a properties tab even as administrator. Ideas? -- Bryan C. Since you use Zope 2.5, you've got Python 2.1 installed on your server. You could use the command "whereis python2" to find a path to that version. On my Debian Woody box, I can invoke 2.1 directly through /usr/bin/python2.1. Zope services in the UK

Hello all, I wasn't really sure where to post this question, so settled for the most generic list. I apologise if this is off-topic. I work for the University of Birmingham and my team is interested in the potential of Zope as a platform for certain types of site we routinely create (principally those requiring simple content-management-type solutions). However, we would probably need some training and initial consultation to help us decide how to manage the implementation. So, my question: does anyone on this list belong to a Zope support services organisation within the UK, who would be willing to spend half a day talking through our requirements? Or is there anyone out there with recommendations about agencies to contact, or experience of support from such an agency? Anyone with experience of using Zope (supported or not) within a HE environment? Any hints would be useful. Thanks in advance. This probably involves too much unneeded functionality for you, but my VirtualHostFolder has some nice redirect functionality. Per host definitions, redirect done before the ZODB is even traversed, nice regex capabilities for the redirect, and so on. http://www.zope.org/Members/poster/VHF requires the OrderedFolder, which itself may need the international language support package in order to properly display button text. I doubt that helps, but just in case... :-) Gary

ZPT instead of DTML in products - how?

Aloha, I'm crawling up the zope/python products learning curve...if I want to use ZPT instead of DTML for web interfaces (like index_html, manage_addForm, etc.), how do I specify that? For DTML I find tutorials and howtos showing this sort of thing: from Globals import DTMLFile index_html = DTMLFile('www/index_html', globals()) manage_addForm = DTMLFile('manage_addForm', globals()) ..what is the equivalent of the above for ZPT files instead of DTML files? thanks, John S. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I only got one reply to this message, from someone who said they weren't aware of any such timeout. Surely someone knows something about this. Here is some more information: As I said before, Zope is calling a Perl script which takes >5 minutes to process. Exactly five minutes after I submit the request in my browser, the following happens: IE 6.0: IE apparently automatically tries to resubmit the request, and a second copy of the perl script is launched. After 10 minutes, IE comes back with an error "This page cannot be displayed" Netscape: At five minutes, Netscape displays "The document contains no data." Opera 6.0.3: At five minutes, Opera displays "Connection closed by remote server." Is this 5 minute timeout configurable? Where does it come from?
