Re: [Zope] What is the Best Way to Include CSS Stylesheets in Zope
by Robert A. Klahn 20 Apr '02

Here is what I do, in page templates. I dont know if this is "best", but I know its working for me. I presume there is a similar way to do this in a DTML Method/Document. I have a stylesheet in my root folder, in this case called "style_sheet.css", and I refer to it via the following link statement: <link rel="stylesheet" href="" type="text/css" media="screen, print" tal:attributes="href python:path('here/style_sheet.css').absolute_url()"> What this gives me is the ability to override the stylesheet on a particular set of pages by having a "style_sheet.css" in the subfolder that those pages are in, without changing my page templates. This link statement is in a METAL macro that each page calls to get their header, so I actualy only have this link statement in one place. Hope this helps..... Hi, this may be interesting for the Zope-community to get involved. --On Freitag, April 19, 2002 08:37:16 -0500 Gary Frederick <gary.frederick(a)jsoft.com> wrote: > I'm going to contact companies/groups/people/projects that are doing > groupware things, asking what they do and asking if they want to > interface with OpenOffice. ldad module on FreeBSD
by Terry 20 Apr '02

20 Apr '02

Dear Sir, Because most of the python module package for FreeBSD depend on python2.2, so the package will install under python2.2 folder not python2.1, then Zope couldn't use it. :-( Even I tried to make a soft link to the module folder. Anyone ever try to install the python module (ldapmodule) from FreeBSD package, then could be called by LDAPUserFolder successfully. Thanks in advanve. TerryH

Re: Re. Zope Users and Roles
by Felipe E. Barousse B. 19 Apr '02

19 Apr '02

Guess you misunderstood. You CAN create the role, in this case "db_user" at the level you want to have control of the user's access (as in "test" in your example) OR, in any level above that object "test", such as root level. You did it at root level , that is OK. Then, AT THE LEVEL WHERE YOU CREATED THE ROLE, "test" or "root" level as propper, get into the security tab and check the following permissios for the role "db_user": Access contents informations Use Database Methods View Optionally uncheck the same permissions for the Anonymous role -at that level in case don't want/need public access to that object. Well, guess this clarifies the issue. Bolding in ZPDF
by Beaudette, Sheree 19 Apr '02

I'm using ZPDF and was wondering if there was anyway you can bold words. I'm calling Python Scripts within a dtml method to format columns since ZPDF doesn't allow for tables. Re: [Zope] Use the sour..... contribute to the ideas of how to improve documentation and information about Zope
by Heimo Laukkanen 19 Apr '02

19 Apr '02

So Paul, what can we do and how. On my behalf I can provide this project with some insigths about the usability, information- and graphic design. For me it is a great part to learn how some more experinced zopistas work and also contribute in ways that I am really certain of my professionality. This is a hint that even though I try to graduate from a poly technic I do not spend my days writing solid code ,--) I also spoke with a talented ex Razorfidh Art Director, who couls give some of her efforts to help this issue too. But basicly this means that some others would need to take responsibility to implement the functionalities, while I can help with my collegue to set up the plans and interfaces for the new site. How does it sound? -huima

unpickleerror confusion
by David Bear 19 Apr '02

I was going through the example in the Zope Book (new riders) making slight modifications to the code. Trying to do the example of using a post method to create new dtml docs (using python p 84). Well, after creating the dtml-doc and method, and the python script, and running it, I get the ugly : ====================================== Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Question regarding connection of an IDE to Zope
by Alec Munro 19 Apr '02

19 Apr '02

Hi all, In the quest to find an effective IDE for Zope, I've decided to look into adding a plugin for Jext, my current editor of choice. I've contacted the author of Jext, and he suggested I talk to some of the Zope developers about how such a plugin could interface with Zope. Unfortunately, I was unable to figure out who I should contact about this, or if there was already a page concerning an IDE for Zope. If anyone knows something about this subject, or has any pertinent links for me, feel free to email me. I'm not currently subscribed to this list, so I won't get any responses sent here. Thanks for your time, Alec Munro
