Hi Gilles, Let's try to keep this on the Zope list for others' benefit. Can you try setting the environment variable ZOPE_SECURITY_POLICY=PYTHON to see if the problem persists? - C Gilles Lenfant wrote: > Hi, > > The auto-restart just occured again: I was browsing a ZClass based product > and was opening for edit a Python script in the "root" of the product. > After the restart, I can open/edit the same Python script without any > problem !!! Aha! ADO's COM-based, so CoInitialize() is recommended, and it works! I'll remove the Sourceforge bug report right after I update my site. Thanks! ---------- Keith J. CMF: Folder creation issue.
by abg＠comco-inc.com 29 Jan '02

I am trying to create a folder when a new member signs up in my CMF (1.1) site. I have added the following code to the register dtml-method: <dtml-with "restrictedTraverse('/cmf/Members/' + username + '/')"> <dtml-call expr="manage_addFolder('Uploads')"> </dtml-with> The folder is created in Zope, but are only viewable through the ZMI, not by users logged into the CMF site. How do I create these folders in such a way that CMF users have access? Thanks in advance, Aaron Gillette

Apartment vs Free? I was finally coming across that in the search. I suspect what I need to enforce is a single-thread apartment. Unfortunately, the examples I'm seeing are all ATL or VB. If the dll you are calling maintains per-thread data structures or uses API calls that are sensitive to threading, you may well need to load and

I found out now that I can't import the file on the openbsd machine because the python process is killed (by the kernel?) before the import is finished. Please can someone tell me where I can adjust this setting. I know it is OS specific and therefore out of the zope-list focus but maybe someone can give me another hint. tia Jens-Erik

I thought you could go to http://www.zope.org/Products and be presented with a list of bunches of available products arranged by category. But that location does not appear to exist anymore. Where can you see this list now? Or is my memory faulty? -- Michael Montagne montagne(a)boora.com http://www.boora.com

Would that make a difference between dying when imported at the beginning of a script, and not dying when imported within a run() method? Knowing C, I'd expect randomness, but this behavior is consistent. ---------- Keith J. Farmer kfarmer(a)thuban.org http://www.thuban.org -----Original Message----- From: Brian Lloyd [mailto:brian@zope.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 29, 2002 11:52 Re-read my post :) You are "pulling a set of row from a database" by calling a dll or API of some sort; you need to understand the threading requirements of that API and write your calls to it in a compatible way.

Hi JIM PENNY and HARRY WILKINSON and all others; I tried both of your suggestions, but now I get the below complaint with either *context* or *REQUEST* being the NameError.
