how to check attribute or property of a object ??

hello, Every dtml-image object has width and height as a default property. I want to check if a dtml image object has width (attribute or property) > 1 something like <dtml-if expr="objectname.len('width')>1"> do something <dtml-else> do something else </dtml-if> can anybody please tell me the exact syntax ?? can i use len ?? thanks for the help.

no root management interface

hi all, i have been using zope for months and i never get such an interface error. if i click on the root directory (in the left navigation)in the management interface , i don't see the list of the objects which are in the root directory on the right part of the screen, but i see the welcome page from zope which you see if you give the url http://localhost:8080/ if i click on the directory acl_users, i see the correct webpage to add user. if i click on the directory quickstart, i see the correct webpage too. if i click on the directory Products under control_panel, i don't see the correct webpage, but i see the welcome page. could someone help me and tell me what is the problem? PageTemplates problem

We've recently installed Zope 2.4.3 on an Apache based SuSE Linux 7.3 server. Everything is working fine except for the PageTemplates product. We've placed the TAL and ZTUtils products in the Python directory (rather than Products) as recommended elsewhere. We've also put the PageTemplates product inside the Products directory, but it never appears as an installed Product when we restart Zope. TAL and ZTUtils appear fine, but no sign of PageTemplates anywhere... Are we missing something obvious here? Any help appreciated!

By the way I would be interested in hearing recomendations for a remote and local authoring tool. Everything we have tried so far is giving us problems. Trying to move files from our dev environment zope server to our production zope server is proving to be a particular challenge for us. Using ws_ftp changed files from type python script to type dtml method. Has anyone tried linking Visual Source Safe with zope via Web Dav. Setting Local Roles from Python

Greetings! I am relatively new to Zope, and have benefited greatly from following this mailing list. Currently, I have a Member product which (among other things) stores information about the members of my site. I am trying to figure out how to set the local role of a specific user to be the manager of a specific Member object (so that the user can manage their own Member object, but no others.)
