But perhaps it makes some things clear. It is beta. I will rewrite it after some comments. -------------------------------------- Goeldi.com - Internet Services -------------------------------------- www.goeldi.com web(a)goeldi.com Tel +41-61-7330555 Fax +41-61-7330556 -------------------------------------- _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp

Zope failed. Ok after rm /var/lib/zope/var/cound*
by Edwin Martin 31 Oct '01

31 Oct '01

Hello, We run a Zope website for almost a year now and the last week Zope failed twice. Instead of the homepage, we got an error message. Strange thing is that the management pages and a password protected part of the site worked ok. I could get Zope working by: 1) Shutting Zope down 2) Deleting the file /var/lib/zope/var/cound.998308977.097.counter 3) Starting Zope What's so special about this cound* file? This is the version we are running: Zope Version Zope 2.3.0 (source release, python 1.5.2, linux2) Python Version 1.5.2 (#0, Apr 3 2000, 14:46:48) [GCC 2.95.2 20000313 (Debian GNU/Linux)] System Platform linux2 Thanks, Edwin Martin.

structured text: I created two new rules
by Robert Rottermann 31 Oct '01

31 Oct '01

Hi there, I created two new rules to deal with inner documental lists of topics. They are very similar to inner_link and named_link. So I named them inner_linkEx and named_linkEx. The difference between the two pairs is: - the enclosing brackets are removed - whitespace is allowed - whitespace and non ASCII characters are filtered from the links - the rules are triggered by .. [.] and [.] Example: [.Die Geschichte der fröhlichen Dirne] ..[.Die Geschichte der fröhlichen Dirne] becomes: <p><a href="#DieGeschichtederfrohlichenDirne">Die Geschichte der fröhlichen Dirne</a></p> <p><a name="DieGeschichtederfrohlichenDirne">Die Geschichte der fröhlichen Dirne</a></p> If anybody is interested in it I will wrap it up and post it on to the Zope site. Robert

Re: [Zope] Problem: Document Library 1.0b1 + Zope 2.4.2
by Richard Hewison 31 Oct '01

31 Oct '01

We have had a similar problem today, with Document Library 1.0b2 and the upgrade of Zope 2.4.2 (from 2.4.1). The errors we get when trying to view our library index_html DTML method are as follows: Traceback (innermost last): File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1/lib/python/ZPublisher/Publish.py, line 223, in publish_module File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1/lib/python/ZPublisher/Publish.py, line 187, in publish File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1/lib/python/Zope/__init__.py, line 226, in zpublisher_exception_hook (Object: userguides) File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1/lib/python/ZPublisher/Publish.py, line 171, in publish File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1/lib/python/ZPublisher/mapply.py, line 160, in mapply (Object: index_html) File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1/lib/python/ZPublisher/Publish.py, line 112, in call_object (Object: index_html) File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1/lib/python/OFS/DTMLMethod.py, line 195, in __call__ (Object: index_html) File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1/lib/python/DocumentTemplate/DT_String.py, line 546, in __call__ (Object: index_html) File /usr/local/Zope-2.4.1/lib/python/OFS/DTMLMethod.py, line 203, in __call__ (Object: document_browse) KeyError: (see above) We've just added the update to the Library (to b3) and it still isn't working, (unless there's something we've done wrong). Obviously this now means that our document library is broken :-(
