The default quality setting for both ImageMagick and PIL is documented as 75, which is why I chose that as the default for Photo. The existing Photo displays are only changed if you regenerate them after changing the settings, either through the "Regenerate All" button or by them being generated automatically on-the-fly. If you don't have "Pregenerate Displays" checked, it will only regenerate the displays that are already generated. The reason is that I assume the user is regenerating because of a change in settings (such as quality or engine), and only wants to redo the existing displays, but would still want on-the-fly generation of those that haven't yet been generated. 2) When you initially upgrade and set timeout to something other than zero, your current displays' ages are likely much greater than the new timeout. Zope 2.4.2 crashing every 15 minutes! help...

Been using Zope way too long to have this happen and not know why, but here I am. I installed 2.4.2 and moved over the Data.fs, /var/ and products from my 2.3.3. There were lots of little Product errors that I have worked out but Zope still crashes (or stops responding and restarts) every 12-20 minutes. Not a great uptime. <sigh> Running it in debug mode I get this (this is it just crashing and restarting). Any help would be great. Zope failed. Ok after rm /var/lib/zope/var/cound*

Hello, We run a Zope website for almost a year now and the last week Zope failed twice. Instead of the homepage, we got an error message. Strange thing is that the management pages and a password protected part of the site worked ok. I could get Zope working by: 1) Shutting Zope down 2) Deleting the file /var/lib/zope/var/cound.998308977.097.counter 3) Starting Zope What's so special about this cound* file? This is the version we are running: Zope Version Zope 2.3.0 (source release, python 1.5.2, linux2) Python Version 1.5.2 (#0, Apr 3 2000, 14:46:48) [GCC 2.95.2 20000313 (Debian GNU/Linux)] System Platform linux2 Thanks, Edwin Martin.
