standard_error_message - displaying non html content

I have a zope site where users can access content using either html browsers or wap/wml devices. I want to customize the standard_error_message dtml document to display errors in the appropriate format for each user. For example, if a user tries to access a non-existent url from a wml browser, they should get a nice wml page back saying that the page was not found. Heres the problem. Although I have customized standard_error_message to display a page in the right format, the code in ZPublisher/HTTPResponse.py (exception method of HTTPResponse class) checks the error page I generate and, if it doesn't see "<html>" or "<!doctype html" at the start of the page, it wraps my page in some html by calling _error_html. Thus I get a small wml page wrapped in html :-( It makes no difference what the content-type header is set to - I'm setting that correctly for the users browser. Is there any way I can alter this behaviour short of changing the code in ZPublisher/HTTPResponse.py? Thanks in advance Noel Duffy.

Do u manage to find anything about that extDocument problem,. CAn you please tell me what that file argument requires in:- manage_addProduct['ExtDocument'].manage_addExtDocument(id='vinFile', title ='vinTitle', file=????) I have tried String read from the file,the file object itself,the path of the file but no success. Only when I pass the file object then atleast it creates the extDocument but with 0 content. It works perfectly when i provide the file argument with the value of file from the form:- <input type=file name="filename"> i.e manage_addProduct['ExtDocument'].manage_addExtDocument(id='vinFile', title ='vinTitle', file=filename) what shall I do?? How to upload file as extDocument using python and not form

Has anybody got gutts to tell me as to how to upload any file as an extDocument using python or anything else but not using form. The problem with me is that I have about 500 word files which I want to upload as an extDocument now if I use a form then that means I have to press 500 times browse button!!!!which is weared. Or if anybody can tell me what kind of data should be provided to the file argument below:- I mean is it a path of the file or a file object or a string of the file read. manage_addProduct['ExtDocument'].manage_addExtDocument(id='vinFile', title ='vinTitle', file=???) I am struggling with these problem from the past one week and if I dont get the solution then I would certainly have to think that zope fails in my eyes.And all time i spent on a zope was a waste!!! Problems when creating mysqlUserFolder using cookie authentication

I am having problems with mysqlUserFolder - when trying to use cookie-based authentication. EVerything is sweet with basic http-authentication, but when I try to switch on the cookie based auth - I run into probelms. If I have created the folder first with http-login and switch from properties to cookie-based, I just get not authorised error, when I try to access the folder. If I try to create the mysqlUserFolder from start with the cookie based auth. I get the following error. You are not authorized to access <em>aq_parent</em>.  Any ideas where to look into? Version of mysqlUserFolder is 0.6 - I tried also with 0.6.1 with no better success. -huima

exUserFolder docs?

I am trying to use exUserFolder to auth against a passwd style file. Are there any docs for this? Perhaps I am missing something here but I can't find any docs on how to install it or use it. The Zope Book assumes you are creating Products not installing them. I finally figured out that I needed to just untar the file into the right directory and restart. So now I "Add" an exUserFolder, but I don't know how to answer the questions asked. I tried a bunch of different combinations until I got it to create a folder, but now when I try to open the folder it can't seem to find the file. If I had put in a full path name to a file, it tells me it needs to be "simple". If I just put in the file name, where am I supposed to put the file? Is there some general "How to install and use products" kind of docs? Perhaps it is out there (on www.zope.org?) and I am just missing it. Sounds like your system doesn't have the full installation of python, including the headers. If you're on redhat, you'll need the python-devel rpm. If not, you might need to download the python source from www.python.org. I believe I saw something about shipping Zope with the python headers in some future release... Anthony
