Copying properties

Hi Zopers, Just in case someone ever wants to copy a whole set of properties from one folder to another, here's what I just did. Hello Richardo, I'm sorry; that's beyond my expertise. It may be possible in a ZSqlMethod; if not, you may end up having to learn python and write external methods. Including HTML from another server's file into a dtml method or document

Hey all, Does anyone know how to include a file from another server into a dtml method or doc? The 'other' server can be the local file system, or (what I want) another server out there. I want to be able to grab the html from the file and display it in my dtml method. Something similiar to ColdFusion's <CFHTTP> tag. Maybe a simple syntax or a product could do this? Send me all ideas you have. I'd appreciate it. I tried searching the EGroups Zope archive, but to no avail. Thanks in advance, Tommy Innovation: The Best Way To Predict The Future ... Mail Host problem

I picked up the following code from runyaga via the ZopeLabs site: try: mailhost=getattr(context, context.SuperValues('Mail Host')[0].id) except: raise AttributeError, "Cannot find a Mail Host object." mMsg = 'A test e-mail message \n that contains a few line breaks. \n ~rlc' mTo = 'docket.clerk(a)bakerbotts.com' mFrom = 'docket.clerk(a)bakerbotts.com' mSubj = 'Mail Host Test' mailhost.send(mMsg, mTo, mFrom, mSubj) -------------- I put a Mail Host object in the same folder as the above python script. Tried it and got the exception. runyaga said to have the Mail Host object below the script, so I put it in a folder object lower in the hierarchy. Still got the exception. Then I put the Mail Host object in the root folder. Still got the exception. Clearly I am not the Hostess with the mostest. Does anyone know where I should place my Mail Host so that I don't throw the exception? Incidentally, I have the option to hardwire the mail host directly into the code (its not going anywhere). the id for the Mail Host in question is mailhost. TIA, Ron

External Methods to run ReportLab reports?

I've looked through the mailing lists on zope and reportlab-users and it seems that most people are calling reportlab to generate reports via external methods. Is this the prefered way to generate dynamic reports? And does anyone have some example code I can look at to get started? Ideally I would like to have the ablility to generate dynamic reports as well as cache the most often requested reports. Thanks, Walter
