At http://www.zope.org/Members/tino/in_tag_patch, member tino has a patched version of dtml-in that solves two problems: * having to use ugly syntax for python expressions using sequence vars such as <dtml-if "_['sequence-item'] > 40">. The patch allows <dtml-if "sequence_item > 40"> * allowing you to set a prefix="books" attrib to <dtml-in>, so that instead of sequence-item, you can reference books-item, or books-next, etc. This is nice syntactic sugar, but especially nice for nested <dtml-in> tags, allowing you to easily refer to seq. variables in the outer dtml-loop, while in the inner loop. However, the product isn't updated perfectly for 2.3--the sequence variables for '-number' aren't working (the less helpful '-index' ones are). It seems like patches like this need to get into the Zope core if they're going to make it in the long run. Has anyone updated this for 2.3 -number vars? User_Management - Two Folders in different branches

I have a basic Problem with ZOPE USER MANAGEMENT Roles on our site root: Anonymous User Author Editor Manager Owner Okay... lets say I have one folder /users/John_Doe/ with an acl_users folder in it with one user (John_Doe). After John_Doe knows his way around Zope well enough I am going to let him take over a branch of our website e.g. /clinics/pathology/ How do I grant him access to that area of the site without having to create another acl_users in that folder? (A single password and account per user would be nice, as well as a single password_change mechanism for all users) Would a the LDAPLoginAdapter solve my problems (does it allow one account access to specific folders in different branches of a site)? My mistake, the last email was incorrect. I downloaded MySQL-python-0.3.4.tar.gz but actually installed the windows version MySQL-python-0.3.3-win32-2.zip which is not supported by ZMySQLDA-2.0.5.tar.gz So I uninstalled ZMySQLDA-2.0.5 and installed ZMySQLDA-2.0.4.tar.gz I can query the database and everybody is happy. Hi, I`m developing a search for a site and I`m using ZCatalog. I made a basic search, but now I don`t know how to get the number of rows resulted from the search, and how to make it show the results by pages. Is there a manual reference that show me all the functions of ZCatalog, and/or a page/source that show me how to do all that? I`d like something like zope.org`s search, but in there I just got a piece of code, and didn`t helped much. Mysql on Windows will not connect

I am trying to setup a Z MySQL Database Connection to hit a local mysql server and keep getting errors. When I try to login with the following connection string: varex varex varex I get this error Error Type: OperationalError Error Value: (1045, "Access denied for user: 'varex@localhost' (Using password: YES)") If I try varex(a)10.4.4.78 varex varex I get this error Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: server_capabilities I can login either way via the mysql command line. I can also use the python-mysql adapter from the pyton runtime that came with Zope D:\Python_Mysql\examples>d:\website\bin\python deirdre.py Color number 1L is red Color number 2L is blue Color number 3L is yellow I do not know how to test teh Zope Mysql DA outside of Zope.
