Hi Could anyone please help me with this problem? I changed the default permission for the Anonymous user by adding the permission "View Management screens". So the next time I opened the site, and wanted to go into the management screen, it took me directly to the management screen. But as an Anonymous user, I do not have any security permissions and hence unable to change back the permissions. The problem is that I want to now login as "manager" and i am unable to do so as it does not wait for the username & password to go to the management screen. What is the way I could login as manager again & change the permission settings? Thanks Priya

Creating product with Python

When I trying create an instance of class of my own product "Boring" with Python, Zope tells me: Missing doc string at: http://localhost:8080/a/manage_addProduct/Boring/manage_addBoring I tried to change "manage_addBoring" method, and compared my product with other working products, by there was no results from my attemptions. What that Error message means?

How to traverse a subtree ?

Inside a product I need a function that walks through all objects of the current folder and all subfolders and collects all objects that have the same type as the products itself (similiar to os.path.walk()). What would be the best solution for this problem ? Tnx, Andreas

Boolean property for ZClass-instance not checked(bug?)

Hello, in my property-sheet for a ZClass a boolean-property is checked, but in the instance(added programmatically)this property is always unchecked. I have to use "manage_changeProperty" to get her checked. Is this attitude tolerable! Don't think so. Any educational hint?? Thanks.

Hallo Milos, I'm not sure if I understand your problem right. First of all what do you mean with 'Fir-class'?Is it a ZClass or a usual Zope-Folder.I suppose a Zope-Folder!. You have to call the method "manage_changeProperties" on an Object. You find in the Zope Quick reference: --------------------- manage_changeProperties(REQUEST) Change existing object properties. Change object properties by passing either a mapping object of name:value pairs {'foo':6} or passing name=value parameters URL: -> http://zdp.zope.org/projects/zqr/ZopeQR --------------------- This should work: <dtml- call expr="cz.manage_changeProperties({'lst_name':lst_name_new})"> Hope it helps! LoginManager

Hi Bill, I treid to install LoginManager 0.8.8.b1 too. Network hangs

Can anyone give me some clues as to where to look to diagnose network hangs? Case: Installed Zope today (2.2.0 - sorry, I'm conservative on version revs and typically hang back a couple) and ever since starting to move the site to Zope networking seems to hang... Apache sit's on port 80 w/all static pages Zope is now on port 8080 until the move is completed (then it becomes primary on 80). It's seems to me, to be related to ie5x but I'm not sure... I'll connect from a desktop machine to the zope.machine:8080 and then change to zope.machine:8080/manage, login and almost everytime within a minute or two it'll hang! Just not sure where to start debugging... Ideas? Rick

An object is placed in the Zcatalog postings as determined by using manage. However, clicking on the underlined id of an object in manage yields a traceback ending in an object not found. It is sort of expected to display "Hello World". Please advise.
