MemoryError that brings my zope to its knees

I added more RAM to the box and also bumped up the zeo cache-size to 100MB and 10000 objects in the zope.conf. I also changed over from binding to an external ethernet interface and bound the zeo stuff to the localhost interface. Any ideas on other things I could try? strange error with tiki-wiki when installing zope

Hi Everyone, I have been using tiki-wiki for quite some time now. I just recently installed zope using # ./configure --prefix=/somedir/zope --with-python=/somedir/python-2.4.1 # make # make install I started Zope using #./zopectl start Now tiki-wiki is broken. When i view the tiki index page online it says: Invalid variable value : _ZopeId = "88649354A1.yrs5kB5k" My tiki-wiki is installed in /somedir2/tikiwiki Any idea as to whats wrong? Thanks!

Virtual Host Monster

I'm trying to use VHM to rewrite a pair of urls. What I want is to have a "normal" Zope on localhost:8080/, and an instance of a Product on localhost:8080/myProduct. The problem I'm having is that VHM locks me out from the root folder :( My mappings line is: localhost:8080/my_container/VirtualHostRoot/myProduct How do I exclude localhost:8080 to behave normally, as without Virtual Host Monster ? --------------------------------- Yahoo! Copying "Data.fs" to a different CPU architecture

My Zope server is currently an Alpha running FreeBSD. This computer's CPU is no longer working. I would like to restore my backup copy of Data.fs to a new computer, a PC running FreeBSD. Will this work as a straightforward copy, or will the two platform's differing byte orders (and word sizes) cause problems for me? CMFFSContent - Put CMF content onto the file system If you are looking for a way to manage content on the file system in order to take advantage of better editors, source control systems and other utilities you might be interested in CMFFSContent. CMFFSContent represents a content-ish equivalent to the CMF Skins mechanism. You can register directories that provide filesystem content and file extensions that should be recognized as one of the content types available (FSFile, FSImage, FSDocument) from your code. You can also derive your own FS-based content types and plug them into the machinery. A specific use case would be a "brochure" site that does not offer membership or member-contributed content, but a seldom-changing set of pages that need to be tightly controlled. Case in point: My company page at http://www.zetwork.com, which serves CMFFSContent only. Another suitable candidate would be a site that does have members and member-contributed content, but a specific area for centrally-maintained information, such as a canonical set of documentation pages. Strange warning after removing products

Hello, A while ago I used the products 'Superlogger' and 'Quicklinks.' I Also removed 'PlacelessTranslationService'. All the products were available in the control_panel. Testing arguments in zsql methods

Hi everyone, I have what I think is a banal question here... Is there any way I can test inside a zsql method if an argument has been passed? <dtml-if foo> won't work because 0 (zero) is an expected value. Have tried <dtml-if "_.hasattr(_, 'foo')"> but it seems to be always false (where's that namespace?) TIA, Pablo

Map LDAP schema attributes to group

I'd like the best of both worlds. I'm currently running Python 2.3.5, Zope 2.7.7, and Plone 2.1 (final). Using LDAPUserFolder (2.5beta2) as the authentication method and it works perfectly. I'm using LDAPUF as the User Source and User Folder as the Groups Source. It's better for us to manage groups in Plone. But I'd like a little of the information in Active Directory to help with some "blanket" permissions. What I have is a folder that contains folders and files that need to be viewed by some personnel of the organization, but not others. For this, I've created a role called 'Reader' (Reader gets viewing permissions only). I create a group that I want to view folder A. At the local level, I assign this group the role 'Reader'. This will work fine, but I have to manually manage each group. What I'd like to do is use some of the LDAP schema attributes to act as a condition of permissionship. I can use this to create a portal tab: Title MOD Report 5 Id folderContent URL string:${portal_url}/corporate-reports/operations-reports/ Condition python: 'CN=MOD Report,CN=Users' in portal.portal_membership.getAuthenticatedMember().getProperty("memberOf") Permission View Category portal_tabs Visible? checked This correctly creates the portal tab because the condition in this case is true. But because this member isn't a member of the group that is allowed to view the URL, when I click on the tab I get Insufficient Privileges. I was hoping there was a way that I could use this Property to map this member to a particular group. That way everyone that has memberOf - MOD Report in Active Directory would automagically be a member of said group. I've tried creating an action like this in portal_memberships and portal_groups, trying things like Category - global,folder and user but to no avail. Does anyone know how I can bind this Member Property to a Group without using LDAPUF as the Group Source? BTW, I don't want to create a portal tab for each permissioned folder. I just want to map to the group.
