Hello, In a python script I use teh following line to create a folder: context.manage_addProduct['OFSP'].manage_addFolder(Unique, title=field_titel) Unique is a unique ID. How can I create to folder is this folder in the same script ? regards, Martin Koekenberg

Install latest zope on Debian Sarge?

Hello, When installing the latest zope 2.8.1 (I want to upgrade plone to 2.1) I ran into problems compiling. I quote the last rows of the output her below. Caching ImageFiles

This might be a FAQ but I'm willing to take a chance. In class ImageFile (from App/ImageFile.py) the following headers are set when you view an ImageFile object: <pseudocode> 'Content-Type': self.content_type 'Last-Modified': self.lmh # RFC1123 'Cache-Control': 'public,max-age=3600' </pseudocode> What is the difference between 'Cache-Control' and 'Expires'? What is best to use and for what? I no longer know exactly why but in all my stylesheet DTML methods I set 'Expires': (DateTime()+10/24.0).rfc822() # 10 hours but not the 'Cache-Control'. Knowledge of Zope can be acquired on the job, but we want good HTML/CSS that can be mixed in with ZPT. This is not a job for someone with years of knowledge of Zope already. I will let you know...but it was slightly off in the specs I gave. It was a 2.7.0 on RH9 and new install is 2.7.7 on RHE4. If I take the offending text, cut and paste, and put on a different install of 2.7.5 on RHE4 then the encoding works fine and the characters show fine. Mainly bullets, apostrophes and quotes copied from a Word doc and pasted in as text to a dtml document. I changed the LANG encoding for the zope user that zope runs as. But did not change the root LANG encoding. If zope runs as zope does it START as zope or as root? (Linux novice here if you could not tell already) This did not seem to make a difference. Only thing I can see at this point is the difference in zope version. Nik - I will let you know if I do find out anything. Sql statement in dtml code

Hi all, I'm trying to basically get the output of two SELECT statements into a dtml document, but cant get it working. I've searched, and tried a few examples for similar things, but had no luck. Can anyone recommend a way, please? Thanks, Paul

Kupu 1.3 under zope2

Can someone please confirm that kupu 1.3 works fine under zope2? I have just installed the 1.3 tarball but I get un error in kupumacros at the following line: <metal:slot define-slot="bootstrap-editor"> After fixing the illegal name the editor get displayed, but my test doc is not editable. If i try to edit it the kupu debug log shows the messages: 11:32:1 - Link tool initialized 11:32:1 - Image tool initialized 11:32:1 - Table tool initialized 11:32:1 - Source edit tool initialized 11:32:10 - Editor not initialized yet! Actually, uUpon inspection of the sources, it appears that the function initialize defined in KupuEditor does not get called at all. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks, __peppo

StructuredDocument size reduced after 2.5.1 to 2.7.5 upgrade

Hello again, I am using StructuredDocument objects in the custom products I am migrating to 2.7.5 from 2.5.1. In 2.7.5 I am now getting an error Value Error Maximum content length exceeded when attempting to save changes (edits) of StructuredDocument objects with "large" amounts of content - even when there was no problem with the same "large" amount of content in 2.5.1. This error under 2.7.5 happens if a migrated object already has more than a certain amount of content in it when I do a TTW edit/update of the object using e.g. self.manage_changeProperties(REQUEST) It also happens at some point when I start adding increasing amounts of text into a StructuredDocument object that initially has "small" amounts of content ("small" meaning not enough to trigger this error under 2.7.5). I don't know exactly how much is too much. I do know that it is not very much at all, and certainly far less than the DTML document basis for a StructuredDocument can hold. It is also far less than what my StructuredDocument objects *already hold* under 2.5.1. Anyone have any idea why I'm getting this size-related error with StructuredDocument only after migrating to 2.7.5? Hello, i have been reading about zope and plone for a few days now, and i have a question that i could not find an answer to. i understand zope is a server, that is, it is a process in OS. from what i could gather from the documentation, plone is a cms built on top of zope. why then when i install plone for windows from an msi, it appears that plone is also a server that runs alongside zope server just on a different http port? in addition, why the plone documentation keeps referring to plone as a server, and is using terms such as "start plone" and "stop plone"? so, is it a CMS that runs on top of zope or is it aan its own server? i am totally confused... i hope this is the right list to post this kind of plone questions. if not, i apologise, and i would appreciate if you could redirect me... thanks for any clarifications in advance.
