Vladimir, I just had this same thing happen, and bypassing the factory worked. I changed the calling method from calling "maClass_factory to myClass_addForm, and the add method worked fine. That seems very buggy to me. The traceback was posted onthe zope-dev list this morning. Here it is anyway: <dtml-with "WorkDayClass.createInObjectManager(REQUEST['id'], REQUEST)"> <dtml-call "propertysheets.WorkDay_properties.manage_changeProperties( work_date=REQUEST['date'], )"> <dtml-call reindex_object> <dtml-with> Now I get: Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: _getOb Troubleshooting Suggestions The URL may be incorrect. In an NT cmd.exe shell: ...2>C:\temp\zope.err >C:\temp\zope.log or: ...2>&1 >C:\temp\zope.log should both work. On Win95/98, I think you're sunk -- the COMMAND.COM shell is too brain-dead. You might try 4DOS or another replacement shell. Here is what I did to get it going... retrieving variables from an earlier form
by Joe Hewitt 20 Mar '00

20 Mar '00

I'm trying to create several screens to allow my technician to keep a log of problem reports. I chose to create a search form. The data will display in the usual table form and the user will select the item wanted for display in an update form with the values shown as default field values. In the table view, I created a link to my next form in the following way: <a href="http://localhost:8080/School/Admin/Computer/displayitem?id=<dtml-var id>&Submit=Submit&Query"> The problem is that no data gets stuffed into the values="" attributes of the form which leads me to believe that either I'm not using the <dtml-sqlvar> tags correctly or I'm not calling the data selected from the database (mysql) for use in the new form correctly. I read the how-to on inserting sql data, but I want to create a form that will update existing records. Any help will be appreciated, Joe

Brian, It appears to be a good fix. I'll run with it and let you know how it goes. I suppose that I should cc the list as well. Curtis >>> Brian(a)digicool.com 03/20/00 10:50AM >>> Hi Curtis - We are going to be releasing a fixed update today - in the meantime, if you could try something out to verify that it fixes your problem as well, that would be great. I've attached a file ZRDB.tgz. If you copy that to your lib/python/Shared/DC/ZRDB directory and unpack it, then restart Zope you should be working again. If you have a minute to try this can you let me know how it goes? Thanks! How do I edit values of items created using Property Sheets
by Ed Corrado 20 Mar '00

20 Mar '00

Hello, I am new to Zope, so this might be a FAQ, but my seraches of the Zope archives and website didn't come up with anything. I have created a Zope application (phoebe.rider.edu:8080/Athena). I am using a Z Class with Property Sheets to define the fields for each of my entries. The entries are created using a form on my Zope site. My question is, is there any document, instructions, how-to, etc., that can tell me how to edit the entries once they are submitted? Ed Corrado ecorrado(a)hera.rider.edu
