Re: zope-2.1.5 and zclass (again)

Hello, I got a similar error with Zope 2.1.5 on Win32 Saturday. Here's how: - I created a ZClass, TestClassA (it subclassed ObjectManager). - In TestClassA, I created another ZClass, TestClassB (it also subclassed ObjectManager). So I got ControlPanel / Products / AProduct / TestClassA / TestClassB. Then : - I created a TestClassA instance somewhere. - In this instance, I tried to create a TestClassB instance. I got: Error Type: AttributeError Error Value: _getOb Somehow this was related to RESPONSE. This error didn't occur when for testing I added ", RESPONSE" to the line <dtml-with "TestClassB.createInObjectManager(REQUEST['id'], REQUEST)"> in the "TestClassB_add" constructor method. Cheers. Could you also send the error description (it's above the traceback) so that I can look at the code and they to see what is raising the TypeError (which is the error type). -Michel

2.1.5 break RSSChannel

Hi everyone, I'm using Amos's RSSChannel prodcut along with XMLDocument, but it seems that upgrading to 2.1.5 has broken it. Can anyone else verify this? -Tim -- Tim Wilson | Visit Sibley online: | Check out: Henry Sibley HS | http://www.isd197.k12.mn.us/ | http://www.zope.org/ W. title and dtml-let
by jessica lee tishmack 20 Mar '00

Currently, I have a customized standard html header, and would like to be able to use the same header for all files, but have different titles for each...I have tried using this in my header: <title><dtml-let var="'TITLE'"></dtml-let></title> and then using this in the individual file: <dtml-let var="'TITLE'" value="'My title'""> </dtml-let> I only use the "'....'"...becuase otherwise, I get syntax errors.....however, when I look at the source code on the page, it reads <title></title>...so apparently this is not working. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jessica Tishmack

ExtensionClass
by cpita 20 Mar '00

20 Mar '00

Hi! I have an ExtensionClass(es) question and, being the latest releases of them distributed with Zope, I decided to ask it here. Situation: 1) Class A subclasses 2+ extension classes E = {E1,...,En} and perhaps another non extension classes C = {C1,...,Cm}. That is, class A(B1,...,Bk): ...., where B1,...,Bk are each in E or in C. 2) a is an instance of A (a = A()) 3) a.foo(bar) is invoked 4) getattr is invoked in the first extension class in the inherited classes list (i.e. the first Bi belonging to E) Question: What happens then? I guess that calling Py_FindMethod (inside getattr implementation) will trigger a search in instance and base classes' dictionaries, but what about the other extension base classes and what about the searching order? I can't find any doc on these, so I'm needing your help. Thank you, Carlos. _________________________________________________________________ UOLMAIL - Todo Argentino tiene derecho a tener su e-mail. http://www.uolmail.com.ar

Warning! 2.1.5 breaks the ZODBC adapter product. I tried it several ways - even with a new database connection. Also reinstalling it does not help.
