The CMF developer community and Zope Corporation are pleased to announce the release of version 1.5.3-beta of the Zope Content Management Framework (CMF). This release is intended for testing purposes only; we do not recommend deploying it to production servers. The final release of version 1.5.3 is expected to land within about 10 days. What is the CMF? The Zope Content Management Framework provides a set of services and content objects useful for building highly dynamic, content-oriented portal sites. As packaged, the CMF generates a site much like the Zope.org site. The CMF is intended to be easily customizable, in terms of both the types of content used and the policies and services it provides. Filesystem Files Permissions

Showing the results per pages.

HI, I have a sql-method which returns a dinamic number of tuples. How can I split it and show the result using a per page separation? Something like Google's results when we have a huge number of results... ;) Thanks. -- Fernando Lujan

Application Error (Referernced Memmory)

I downloaded a content management system called Plone and get the following error message when I try to start it: Plone Controller - [Plone Status]: pythonw.exe - Application Error The instruction at "0x009d3f09" referenced memory at "0x000000cB". The memory could not be "read". plone-users-request(a)lists.sourceforge.net <http://us.f604.mail.yahoo.com/ym/Compose?To=plone-users-request@lists.sourc…> I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it again, witih the same results. When I tried to start another Program in the Plone folder, I got this error message: "Windows is searching for runzope.bat. To locate the file yourself, click Browse." What little information I found on the Internet suggests it's a problem with Python, which I know nothing about. So I joined Python's e-mail list and asked about it. But I was told to address my question to the Zope community. So, do any of you have any idea what's causing this problem(s) and how I can fix it? Also, just how user friendly is Plone/Zope? I was initially steered away by an article that said it's terribly complex. But someone on another forum told me the latest version is user friendly, so I decided to try it. But if I have to learn three separate software programs (Plone, Zope and Python), then it probably is over my head. configurating Zopes for merged logs

Zope 2.7.6 with ZEO Python 2.4.1 I would like to configure for a single merged log. If BE is the backend machine running ZEO and FEA FEB and FEC are various front-ends for the ZEO, what's the configuration supposed to look like to get a merged log collected on the machine on which ZEO runs. The only log I need to merge is the Z2.log--the othes can be left per-Zope frontend. While it would be nice if the merged entries were serialized, it is not strictly necessary. Cross machine transmission can be either UDP or TCP.

Python compile question

Hi, I know this is more a python question than a Zope one, but this is part of different tests I am doing to try to make Zope faster. The target architecture is several Zope instances on a multi-processor linux server. On a linux system, does anyone know if these python options can help performance : + --enable-shared + --with-pth Thanks a lot. Solved the problem by using Squid as a reverse https Proxy and VHM on Zope. So ZServerSSL is not used anymore. Using relative paths doesn't seem to work as i thought. For example : I have a Plone site "Plone" Under that i have a folder object named "Sales" In Sales i have a Page Template object named "SalesPage". I also put an "index_html" file object inside Sales Folder. I thought that the href inside index_html linking to SalesPage to the same folder would be "./SalesPage". This works fine from inside the ZMI witch gives me "http://localhost:8080/Plone/Sales/SalesPage". The problem is when i try to see the page from outside ZMI witch gives me "http://localhost/SalesPage". So i had to change the href to "./Sales/SalesPage" This one gives "http://localhost:8080/Plone/Sales/Sales/SalesPage" inside ZMI and "http://localhost/Plone/Sales/SalesPage" outside the ZMI. The funny thing is that they both work and give the page i wantto see but i thing "http://localhost:8080/Plone/Sales/Sales/SalesPage" sould not work since i do not have any "/Plone/Sales/Sales" Folder object. I use Zope 2.7.0 on Windows XP Pro and i have installed Hotfix_20040714 Could anyone help me on this? How sould i reffer to current folder instead of "." from an html inside this folder? I posted some stuff I was doing some time ago w/ mysql / blobs and zope some time ago so that my grandchildren could google for it :)... if you goggle for zope mysql blob bobb you'll get it.
