Squishdot could easily surpass this. I think you'll see each piece be released separately honestly. Membership is unfortunately *much* more complex than we first envisioned. At least if we're going to make it useful for more than us. Right now it'd be nothing more than a "demo." LONG story :-) Membership has become a multi-headed hydra unfortunately as it has grown to encompass more and more features. a mirror for zope.org?

Is there a mirror for www.zope.org? I'd like to download the 2.0b3 package, but haven't been able to connect all day long. Traceroute doesn't make it to the server either (it looks like it gets a hop away). Does anyone know of someplace else where I could get the files? I've been testing Squishdot for a while now, and a few production sites are already using it, even though it's an alpha release. I know that Butch Landingin (Squishdot's author) is interested in integrating it with the ZPT when it becomes available. The question is, how much does Squishdot's functionality overlap the 'News' component of the ZPT? The current roadmap for the ZPT only includes a short description of each component (although we now know a lot more about ZCatalog by virtue of it's being released in alpha). Another area of possible overlap is between the membership component and the various roll-your-own cookie-based login systems that people are implementing. In short, can we have a more detailed roadmap for each of the ZPT components? Thank you for your attention, Michael Bernstein.

hey guys, what is the best way to include style sheets using Zope? 1. There is the LINK tag, but what can I write in the SRC attribute? 2. And then I can use the STYLE tag. <style>  </style> Is number 2 the better way in this case? What type needs the stylesheet to be? home-made modules and Zope...

I have a module named mainvars.py, in the Zope/Extensions directory. I'm trying to import from it into one of my python programs. This works fine for python normally, but Zope changes the local directory to /. Is there a place in Zope that I can place modules so they can be accessed by my python programs? Donner

Two Zope/Apache questions. 1) I asked a while ago about 2.0b1 and apache which no longer works for me. (1.x still works but not 2.x) 2) Does ZServer do multihoming? I'd be happy to drop apache if I could get multiple sites to run from a single port on a single box. Product installation problem

Hi, I have just installed Zope with pcgi to Apache. Everything seems to work fine except when I un-tared example products into lib/python/products and restarted Zope, they are not loaded at all. Alternatively, when I put the new Products into /usr/lib/python1.5/site-packages/Zope/Products, I can see the new Products loaded into the control panel/product management screen but I cannot get the newly installed products to work. They appear on the control panel/product management but nothing is added to the pull-down "add" menu. Anyone know what I may be doing wrong? thanks in advance, Andrew Ho
