ZServer and multithreading

I'm using ZServer to publish my own set of Python objects. Eventually, I plan to move this to a full product, but I haven't had a chance to yet, and things seem to be working the way I have them setup. I know that Zserver is multithreaded. My question is what does that mean for my code? I need to have multiple threads of execution occuring simultaneously, as some of the objects perform rather lengthy computations. Is this automatically handled by the Zope framework (sounds surprising, but I'd certainly take it :-) If not, what types of things need to be done to my code to allow multiple threads? Help with UserDB

I just changed my user database schema to match that of the UserDB product, and installed UserDB with cookie-based authentication. Immediately after doing that everything became inaccessible. Now, I get the response: Unauthorized You are not authorized to access this resource. Username and password are not correct. I set up the UserDB folder at the top level of the object heirarchy, is this the problem? Note, the superuser login no longer works and basically I can't access Zope at all. Acquisition change between Zope 1 and 2?

Today I moved some code from Zope 1 to 2, and ran into an incompatibility. I have a folder named 'process' with various bits of DTML in it. One DTML document called matching_html contains . add_operation_link is a DTML method; in the process folder, it's empty. In a subfolder of 'process', I create a different add_operation_link DTML method which contains some actual content. The intention is to have a hook; subfolders of 'process' can override it to insert a bit of their own content, avoiding the need to modify more complex DTML methods. In Zope 1, this works as I expect; subfolders define add_operation_link, they acquire matching_html from the parent folder, and it calls the locally-defined add_operation_link. In Zope 2b1, this breaks because the matching_html in the parent folder calls the version of add_operation_link in the same folder; the overridden version of add_operation_link is never called. If I copy matching_html into the subfolders, it now calls the overridden add_operation_link, but now I have duplicate code to maintain and debug. Is this a bug in 2.0b1 or a deliberate change? If the latter, what are the semantics that changed, and how do I write hooks like this? And won't this break a lot of code? -- A.M. Also, your redirect is wrong, since redirect() takes an URL, not the string name of a variable to read. ZSQL methods for the moment have a user interface for inserting a brain, but Catalog can also work with pluggable brains (albiet only programaticly, there is no UI at the moment for PBs in Catalog). You could create a ZClass that subclassed catalog and provided it's own kind of brain. After ZClasses bake a bit more, I would like to add add an interface to Catalog (and extend ZSQL's interface) to allow the admin to specify either a python class on the filesystem, or a ZClass. SQL METHODS - Obtaining ROW IDS in an <IN> STATEMENT

Here is the situation: I have a method called item_method. It contains SQL:SELECT that returns 10 rows of data. When I want to print this to a page in ZOPE. I use an <IN> Statement as follows. Currently the data set from the database does not return a row number, so I need Zope to make one up as it prints the HTML. The data set has two columns called this and that.
