My Advice, download the PSQL Input Wizard product (http://www.zope.org/Download/Contrib/) from the contrib area on zope.org. You can get two birds with one stone: o You get the pages up quickly o You can look at the pages produced to figure it out __ Bill

including external html fragments

Makeing a squishdot object the index_html(default)

All, I am a total novice with zope but not with its concept... I have been playing with the squishdot code... 1. I can change vthe index_html in / and have the changers show up I create a squishdot product inside the / folder named test and then I can see the squishdot site under http://myhostname.mydomaninand.org:8080/test 2. I now want to replace the "welcome to zope" index_html dtml method with with a squisdot site... how do I do this... all the ways I have tried seem to be very unsuccessful leading to zope metho/object not found errors this includes copy and paste the test/index_html where the "Welcome to Zope" or the other method I tried was to wget the entire squishdot site and then upload it via the uplocad button in "edit dtml method" neither way has worked... as to versions I am on the beta product(latest0 AND greatly impressed... just sorry I am so clueless... :( cheers and thanx in advance A would be squishdot test admin...

install problem

Cookie and ODBC problems?

This one has been puzzling me for some weeks now. The following checkCookie code is included in the standard_html_header. If the browser has the cookie key, then get the value. If not, then create the cookie, and store it in a session table ( via ODBC ). Using 1.11pr1, NT, and ODBC name: checkCookie          Now this will fail with an error only the very first time this function ( or permutations of this ) is called after Zope is started up. I can close the browser down, and start a new browser session, and it will then work without error. Newbie Q: How to timestamp documents?

Hello, I'm struggling to learn Zope 1.10.3 running on my Debian Linux 2.2.10 box. I have a few questions: Issue 1. How do I get Zope to timestamp my modified document? >From the User Guides I've downloaded, I can do this within a document to call on the "Id" or the "title" of a document:  But I understand I am unable to use the "Last Modified" or "Size" properties from my workspace. It would be nice if I could do something like this in my documents: Last modified on . What is the workaround for this? Issue 2. Am I the only one to see that the keyword search function for the archived mailing list is sort of useless? I prefer a more powerful engine considering the question above is a simple question for most of you here. Issue 3. Are there any better documentation guides than the user guides posted on the Zope site? Of course I am generalizing here but I see the biggest problem with Open Source software is that the documentation seems to be lacking. Unless someone gets in early with the software development, the learning curve for simpletons like us are quite long. Thanks, -james-
