ZCTextIndex Lexicon problems

I have bulk uploaded about 100k records (zclass instances) into a BTreeFolder2 and am using the following code to create entries in a zcatalog (I am not using catalog-aware instances): import os, sys, traceback import Zope app=Zope.app() from Testing import makerequest app = makerequest.makerequest(app) for item in app.sw.WebSitesFolder.WebSitesData.objectItems(): uid = item[0] obj = item[1] app.sw.WebSitesFolder.Catalog.catalog_object(obj, uid) if cnt == 1000: get_transaction().commit() cnt=0 get_transaction().commit() This works if I only have about 10k entries in the BTreeFolder2 (WebSitesData), but when I have larger volumes of records the Lexicon doesn't work: ie. 0 ( yes, 'zero') entries in the Lexicon, but no errors. SOAP Method

Hi All, I'm trying to use the SOAPMethod product to use some web service from ZOPE. I was able to call a web service that doesn't take any parameters (RPC Style). I created a SOAP Method called "ws1" which calles a simple web service and called it int eh following manner from the browser. http://localhost:8080/ws1 And it gave me the proper response. But when I'm using the a SOAP MEthod how can I pass parameters into a webservice from the browser. I tried to use the following but it didn't work :-? http://localhost:8080/ws1?param1=value1 Any idea will be really helpful :) Thanks Ruchtih

Products.ZWiki.Mail pollution of ZSQL-Methods

Hi, today I tried to export a Zope folder (on Zope 2.6.4) and re-import it on a different system. I got an import error, telling me module Products.ZWiki.Mail is not available. After checking on my export system, I remembered that i had installed ZWiki 0.18 some time ago (in Debian/unstable). Well - ok... let's de-install it. It did not work. I also tried to pack the database. But to no effect. After doing an XML-export i found the problem. in some Z-SQL-Methods I found: <item> <key> <string id="96079.23" encoding="repr">parser</string> </key> <value> <global id="96079.24" name="atoi" module="Products.ZWiki.Mail"/> </value> </item> Since I'm lazy: Do I only need to remove this <item> </item> pair and renumber the second part of the id for the whole record #96079 to get the import right ? Another option could be to recreate all polluted ZSQL-Methods. Thanks for your help, - Andreas

It depends where you have your session data container path set to in your /session_data_manager object. If it points to the object in /temp_folder/session_data_container, your session data is not persistent. Zope restart didn't work

I just clicked on restart from the control panel and it looks like Zope has failed to start. How do I tell what went wrong? It is installed on a remote server and my only contact is via SSH... -- John

Archetype or Product inheritance

Hi all, Suppose I have a zope product, or an Archetype-based content-type, like ATEvent. If I use __implements__ to define another content-type, will my new content-type inherit the ATEvent schema? That would fit true polymorphism and I would expect zope to conform truly to OOP. redirection problem

Hi, I have run into a wall. I am trying to use a pull down menu to redirect the form to another page. <select name="form_action_type" size="1"> <dtml-in lookup_action_query sort=school_name> <OPTION VALUE="<dtml-var action_file_location>"> <dtml-var school_name> <dtml-var sport_type> </OPTION> </dtml-in> </SELECT> action_file_location hold the path to where I am trying to get to. I tried this <form method="post" action=<dtml-var expr="form_action_type">> But I get a key error. I am trying to do this on the same form. Can I do this? Can some point me in the right direction. bci.NotAvailable

hello, i'am using ZPublisher.Client within a Product to call zope-methods(DTML-methods). For a long time that works well, but for a couple of days it doesn't. It seems that the target-url ist called correctly but sometimes i get an error in the log-file: error-type:bci.NotAvailable error-value:Recv timed out(File:[called url] Line:[]) How can i fetch more information about the error which cause Client.py to throw bci.NotAvailable? (calling the target-url directly from a browser works well) any hints?
