PTS UnicodeErrors? Do i need to worry?

Hello, I often get these in my logs: .... File "/usr/local/zope/instances/cdks/Products/PlacelessTranslationService/PlacelessTranslationService.py", line 520 , in translate text = context.RESPONSE._encode_unicode(text) File "/usr/local/zope/software/zope-2.7.1/lib/python/ZPublisher/HTTPResponse.py", line 434, in _encode_unicode return body.encode(encoding) UnicodeEncodeError: 'latin-1' codec can't encode characters in position 0-3: ordinal not in range(256) Do I need to worry about them? What do they mean? I am using Zope 2.7.1 with zope 2.3.4 and Plone 2.0.3. I have set the site to serve iso-8859-1. I'm running RedHat9 + apache 2.0.50, and I'm trying to incorporate with zope. Zope is running fine on port 8080 as well as https on 443 (can see a typical apache test page). I also have apache listening on port 8000 and have Virtual Host Monster installed. Hi, I have a simple question. How to you set the html code to wrap the text around a dtml variable. <td width="181%" height="30" bgcolor="#F0F0FA" align="left"> <dtml-var lesson_summary> </font></td> The line is straight across, I know I can use a textarea. Any help would be great. Thanks, Larry

[UserDiscussion] ANN: Zwiki 0.34 beta 1 released, BUG HUNTERS needed

Yes *beta*. Don't get too excited.. by this I mean a beta for 0.34, not 1.0 (though we are due for that too). Why not the usual "rc1" ? "Release candidate" usually means no more fixes except critical ones. In practice there are usually a bunch of late additions. I'd like to make the 25th to 1st a bug-hunting period, and generate as much tracker activity and bugfix patches as we can. Minor/safe enhancements may be ok as well. I think we can handle it. This is less intense than a single bug day, but maybe easier for a number of us to participate. So, you are hereby invited to join the first Zwiki BUG HUNT! Want to help make 0.34 better ? Visit http://zwiki.org/IssueTracker and do whatever you can to help clarify & resolve issues. I recommend you to read the one on: www.plope.com which has all the examples updated to zpt ;-) I see allways that the people here suggest to use zpt, but the book on zope.org still uses dtml. What is the proper way to get the contents of a File as a string from the python API? passing values tp python script from a zope page template through a link

I wrote a xmlrpclib server and client file but this is the first time I am trying to pass a value from my zope page template to my python script that executes a server sub routine. Also, the python function should be triggered by a link. This is what I have so far: python script: def deleteHost(): server=xmlrpclib.Server("http://localhost:8080/RPC2") delete = server.sample.DeleteHost() return server script: sub DeleteHost(){ my ($pcName) = @_; my ($name) = "'" . $pcName .
