Hi *, I have this piece of DTML... <dtml-var expr="(wi_extrtlty - wi_extrtlly) / wi_extrtlly * 100" fmt="%.2f"> which works fine. At the end of my report I want to display the total in my <dtml-if sequence-end> and can't understand why this won't work... <dtml-var expr="(total-wi_extrtlty - total-wi_extrtlly) / total-wi_extrtlly * 100" fmt="%.2f"> Can anyone shread some light on this? permission problem????

In folder 'test' I have created an 'acl_users' folder with userid of 'testuser'. There's the sample index.html that get's created along with the folder. 'testuser' can see this fine. I then proceed to create a ZSQL method, connecting to my Postgres7.4 database with ZPsycopg. The sql method works fine as superuser. However, when 'testuser' attempts to use the sql method, I get: Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. KeyError Sorry, a site error occurred. dumb TinyTable

I am trying to put some data from a .csv file exported from Excel into a TinyTable via copy and paste :( I keep getting errors like: invalid token '/' at line 3 column 12 so I change the / to "or" and get: invalid token 'or' at line 3 column 13 now if I enclose the data with "" the error goes away. now I would much rather attempt rewriting some of the Tinyable's code than edit these .csv files. has anybody done this already? if it has been done please don't let me reinvent the wheel... Some time ago, Sean Upton adviced me not to use cron + wget. He found this a bad solution and instead recommended to use to use Zeo + cron. I think that this is better than the first approach, but the problem is that you have to enable Zeo. In fact, I'm not using Zeo, so I haven't tried it. No, WEBSERVER.txt is just misleading documentation that ships with Zope for no good reason. Despite that FastCGI *can* be used, as you've found out, it doesn't really work all that well. The mod_rewrite technique isn't documented in that file, but it is documented in the Zope Book online, which you should read, its full of good information. The thing you need to understand when it comes to setting up Zope, is that there is really only 1 good way to do it, and a lot of somewhat crappy ways to do it, which people tend to continue to offer as viable alterntatives, even though they aren't. The 1 good way, is to put an HTTP gateway server in front of Zope's ZServer, and tell the gateway to sanitize and rewrite requests before handing them to ZServer. Generally this means you bind ZServer to the loopback interface of your host on an unpriviliged port (it defaults to 8080, but thats a stupid default as 8080 is already commonly used by proxy servers; thats one thing Debian did well, was default to a more reasonable port), then forward requests from your gateway server (usually listenting on port 80 and/or 443) to the loopback interface where ZServer is listening. When using apache as your gateway server, the best technique is to use mod_rewrite w/mod_proxy loaded for the [P] option, as documented in the Zope Book. There is another technique which uses mod_proxy's ProxyPass directives, but that technique isn't as flexible and is more prone to painful misconfigurations that lead to security holes. Can see zope from local host, but not from anywhere else

This maybe a very basic question, so please be patient. I've just done a test installation of zope. It's from my host (http://dathorn.com) I've run ./install and ./start, and if I ssh to my host and run lynx, I can visit the site using every domain I can think of: http://localhost:<port>, http://<ip>:<port> http://<domainname>:port. However, if I try any of these urls from a browser on my local machine, they just fail (after a long wait). Is there a trick I am missing, or is zope not something I can run from this host? AttributeError __call__

Hi, I have a python scrypt index_html in the folder user/mail_password. I get the error mentioned in the subject when I call container.user.mail_password(email='marc(a)rijken.org'. But when I call http://localhost/user/mail_password?email=marc@rijken.org I won't get an error. To be this is very strange. Why does a python call to mail_password not traverse correctly to index_html and a http call works correctly? Best regards, Marc
