Mouting + Logging Errors after Zope Upgrade 2.7.4 --> 2.11.1

Hello! My company wants me to upgrade the timeworn zope-2.7.4 to one of the newest ones available. I decided to take zope-2.11.1 but after installing and running it in debug-mode i get the following error-messages: 2008-08-01T09:04:39 ERROR Zope.ZODBMountPoint Failed to mount database. For an unknown reason, it seems our data.fs got corrupted last night. Hi all: Ive been trying to cut objects from one context and paste them into another using a script python. But I get a "CopyError" when I try doing this. This is my code snippet and the traceback ... Timeout on server when python script is running

Hello everybody! I have a python script running from a plone site..it takes a lot of time (1 hour maybe more) but I need to run it just for data recovery if something goes wrong. after about 20 minutes a "Timeout on server" message pops up.. I tried and found where to change timeouts in zope.conf, but nothing changed. Wrong place? Please help, thanks! Stef

Asking advice on a Zope "stuck" (or: what did I do wrong?)

Hi all. While using ab to perform stress tests on an application, I've run in a situation where I have a "locked" Zope. I installed DeadlockDebugger, and tried to have a dump from it, but it is unable to answer, at leasts it seems to me. Asking recipe for caching objects

Hi all. I have a zope application which uses a db (postgreSQL) to store and retrieve data. I would like to cache it. It is ok for me to cache them on thread-base. Up to now I've used a simple _v_ attribute, with a dictionary. The approach works, but: - the _v_ attribute is not transactional (and transactions could be rerun due to conflicts), - the dictionary can grows indefinitively. Zope product and dtml-tree

Hi, I'm developing a Zope product that uses a dtml file to generate the html page. I'd like to include a dtml-tree based tree for navigation on the page. The custom object inherits from SimpleItem. When I include the follow code in the dtml file: <dtml-tree> <dtml-var id> </dtml-tree> I get the following exception: An error was encountered while publishing this resource. exceptions.KeyError Sorry, a site error occurred. My understanding from documentation is that Item (from which SimpleItem inherits) gives the product basic dtml-tree support. Problems with buildout and zope.interface

Hi there! I am trying right now to convince people to use buildout and ZCA for the Open Grid Protocol project but it turns out that it's not working as expected. So maybe somebody on here can help me :-) The setup is Mac OSX 10.5.4 with Python 2.5.1 installed and apparently a zope.interface egg inside the standard install of Python of version 3.3.0. (you can see the contents of the lib dir her: http://pastebin.com/d3f5fb455) On some machines it now seems that this version is used instead of using a newer one the system wide installed one is used (for some reason not on my own machine), so the for instance the testrunner script looks like this: http://pastebin.com/d1a1024d2 (as you can see the standard lib is put into the path but not a separate zope.interface egg).
