First Zope 4 beta release in preparation

Hi there, from 13th to 15th of September 2017 gocept hosts the "Zope 4 Phoenix Sprint" to "help to raise Zope 4 from the ashes!" We already released six alpha versions which currently run on Python 2.7 and Python 3. The goal of the sprint is to release a first beta version of Zope 4. This means we will make a feature freeze. Up to the release we are still open to decide what will be part of Zope 4 and what will be removed. Z Search Interface

I am new to Zope and I am using version 2.13 from the Linux Mint 18 repository. I am trying to following the Zope2 Book, Section 18, Searching and Categorizing Content which refers to adding a Z Search Interface object to a ZCatalog. However, the Z Search Interface does not appear as an option in the Add List. I was wondering whether this object has been deprecated, and if so, whether there is any documentation on its replacement. Many thanks.

Zope 2.13.26 and Product ExternalEditor

Hello everybody, I would like very badly to upgrade to 2.13.26. The installation of zope is working just fine. The problem appear when I install the product ExternalEditor (ver. 2.0.2). After installing it and restarting zope, all the icons of the products in ZMI disappear… I can see just the pencil icon of the External Editor. Do you have a clue about it? I don’t no why. Any way to fix it? Thanks so much, Giampiero

Zope 2 Resurrection Sprint

Hi Zope developers, gocept will host a second Zope 2 Resurrection Sprint to port Zope 2 to Python 3. (Actually it is Zope 4 as it is a bit lighter than Zope 2.) The biggest blocker was porting of RestrictedPython. Most of it was done on the Alpine City Sprint in Innsbruck earlier this year. So the next steps are porting the remaining Zope dependencies which depend on RestrictedPython and Zope itself. Installing Zope 2.13.25

hi all, I see that 2.13.25 has been released but the Zope2 subdirectory is missing again. Can someone populate it? Redirecting all objects in a folder

How can I make it so that any object accessed under a particular folder gets redirected to another URL? In other words, someone going to the URL website.com/folder/page1.html<http://website.com/folder/page.html> or website.com/folder/page2.html<http://website.com/folder/page.html> (or any page in the /folder/ directory) gets redirected to google.com<http://google.com>. I’m running Zope 2.8.6 with ZServer. Would Virtual Host Monster work as a solution? Thanks for any advice! Dan
