Multiple user folders

Hi all, this is a question that arose in one client situation where part of the users were defined in LDAP and others were just defined in normal user folder. Client had created a drirectory structure where on the subfolder he had the LDAP userfolder and normal userfoder on top folder, this way authentication worked for both groups. However I started to think whether anyone had done yet a userfolder that could have multiple sources for users in one userfolder? -- -huima

dcoracle 2 make failure on freebsd 5.1

Lotus Domino frontend

Did anyone successfully install Zope with Lotus Domino operating as a front-end? We have Lotus Domino used as a virtual hosting solution. All virtual websites use Domino directly. Now we are going to attempt adding a virtual web supported by Zope. -- Milos Prudek

accessing dtml-in SQL variables

Hi, What is the syntax (if it exists) for accessing SQL fields from a <dtml-in>? For example, say you had a SQL method that performed a 'select * from data_base'. If you called that SQL method by <dtml-in "SQL_method(variables)"> that would return the entries in the database. Then you could directly show those entries using the names of the database fields as variables. But, how could you call those entries (variables) without explicitly using the names of the database fields? I'm looking for something like the sequence-item tag, where the name of the variable itself isn't needed. Those entry/variables are pushed onto the name space, but I'm not sure how to access the name space to get those variables. Our location is using Zope 2.6 and Python 2.1.3 The context to this is we are building a generic SQL adaptor from scratch using Zope. The modify function (calling an UPDATE SQL method) contains 2 Forms, one to search for applicable entries and the second to narrow down the search of entries to modify. Both use a SQL method that searches the database. The method is called from <dtml-in "SQL_method(variables)". When it returns those entries we have to hand-code all those names/values to be changed into the function itself, for each table, and each database. This would be much easier if there was a way to call the database fields returned from a <dtml-in select_all_method> without explicitly naming the fields. If anyone knows how to call those variables in a generic way, or has a better way for doing this than we've described, please let us know. Uploading audio mp3

Hello : ) I have tried to upload some mp3 music files to my zope 2.6.1. To do this I have both tried the "add file" option in the management interface and used the product "CMF-friendly Audio object" found here: http://zope.org/Members/bowerymarc/CMFAudio However when i play (view) these mp3 songs or embed them in a web page, some of the songs get a silent moment (about a second) just a few seconds after I start to play them. Now I wonder what could be the reason for this? I have tried to modify/compress an mp3 song using lame, but this does not help. I have also used winamp to study the diferences between the mp3 files that play well and those who does not. A difference I notice is that the well played songs are encoded by "Exact Audio Copy (Secure mode)", whereas the unsuccessful songs have no information about encoding. I do not know if this matters. VHM Question

I have a Plone site (I know...this is the Zope list, but I don't think that this is a Plone question) named 'intranet'. I want to use VHM to resolve intranet.yyy.com to this folder. Zope is currently listening on port 80 and Apache is not being used. I have creates a VHM mapping which reads intranet.yyy.com/intranet This causes intranet.yyy.com to resolve to the root of my Zope installation instead of to the intranet folder. If I enter intranet.yyy.com/intranet I get to the right folder. Clearly, I'm doing something wrong...can someone please tell me what it is. Many thanks in advance. Marc Stein

I'd of the belief that the simplest solution is the best. Either load the module or compile apache with --enable-module=proxy Additional configurations are: Listen 80 ProxyVia On Do you have ErrorLog, TransferLog, and RewriteLog specified? You are building the page, and whether you have your server stick the information into a query string that is the value of a form's ACTION attribute, or somewhere else in the form is up to you - you get to choose how to do it. One way is as easy for the server as the other. Anyway, a GET is of course allowed to give different results, just not because of something that happened *because* of the GET. The GET is supposed to reflect the current state of the thing, and if the state were to change, so would the results of a GET, as Toby also mentioned.
