I am trying to parse xml with libxml2. I have DTML Docs in a Zcatalog that are xml formatted. I am trying to use a python script to display the xmls using the xpath function of libxml2. The problem I am having is that in the Results method I have this. <dtml-var expr="parseXML(legal=getobject(data_record_id_))"> the problem is that when the content of this variable gets sent to my parseXML python script all the xml tags get replaced with the html encoded versions of the tags ( ie. < and > get replaced with < and > ) I'm not calling the html_quote function so I don't understand why it is replacing the tags. ZSQL Catch Errors

I'm using ZODBCA for my Access Database. I need to catch the 'sql.error' exceptions returned by errors on this connection. Now I get a page like this: ---------- Site Error An error was encountered while publishing this resource. Error Type: sql.error Error Value: ('37000', -3502, '[Microsoft][Controlador ODBC Microsoft Access] Error de sintaxis en la instrucci\xf3n INSERT INTO.') ---------- I need to know how to catch that error value from my python script (the one which calls the zsql method), something like: ---- try: salida=context.qReceptores(tabla='miTabla',columnas=columnas,valores=valores ) except: WHAT CAN I DO TO GET THE VALUES OF THE ERROR?? ---- Thanks in advance! No profiling file written!

Hi!, I need to do some profiling with Zope, and the tool in the management console works fine, but I can't find the file where the profiling info is supposed to be written. This is what my start script says about profiling: PROFILE_PUBLISHER="/usr/local/Zope-2.6.2-linux2-x86/var/profile.log" export PROFILE_PUBLISHER But the file doesn't seem to ever come to exist! Could anybody tell me what am I missing? Thanks a lot, Toni.

I ran into something similar that turned out to be caused by my use of wvWare to parse the contents of .doc files. In my case the wvWare versions default setting was to extract any images within the document and drop a copy of it in the directory the parser was called from, adding a --nographics arg to the command stopped the image extraction. Obviously they all had the Zope instances UID and Group because Zope was the one calling the parser. exUserFolder and docLogin

About CallProfiler product

Hi, I've just installed CallProfiler 1.4 product with Zope 2.6.2. I've got some questions: 1. What is the unit for time (ms or secondes) ? 2. I can see result but if I click on result time in order to view detail I've got the error message: Zope Error Zope has encountered an error while publishing this resource. Error Type: KeyError Error Value: Filesystem Page Template Sometimes, for some object I've got the result but it's only for a little part of results... Any idea? Thanks.

All the files seem to be multiple copies of the same few images, they all seem to be images of our company logo and stuff like that - stuff that would be on the site in various places - so its unlikely its evidence of an attack on the server. Which kind of cache manager? The only one I know of that writes separate files on the filesystem is Andy McKay's FSCacheManager, only available from cvs on collective.sf.net. IIRC it uses the object's getPhysicalPath() in zope to determine the filesystem path to write, which means it cannot write the same file to multiple filesystem paths - so it is very unlikely to account for your 80,000 files. -- Paul Winkler http://www.slinkp.com Look! Moving files using python scripts

Hello, I am trying to develop an application that allows moving of items from one folder to another without using the ZMI. The application allows them to create folders for archival purposes. Items are created in the New folder. They view these items in the New folder and can move them to any folder that they may have created. I am populating a drop down box with a list of folders, they check the items they want to move, choose the folder and click the Move To button. That posts to a python script. I am able to cut the checked items but how do I call the past function on an folder when I have the id of the folder I want to paste the items in. I can reference the folder directly, but that does not allow them to choose the folder from the drop down list. Is it possible to programmatically access a folder to paste when given the id of that folder? Thanks, David

tens of thousands of files in Zope var directory

Hi all, We have 75,000 to 80,000 .png, .jpg and .wmf files in the Zope var directory. Where do these files come from? Are they something to do with the cache? If so how do we clean them out - there couldn't be more than 20 or 30 seperate images on our whole site and the 75,000 to 80,000 are making it difficult to backup the site. We are running Zope 2.6.2 with Plone 1.0.5. We are using a cache manager for our site.
