Getting an object from its name

Hi, I have Folder showImage FolderA index_html figure1 figure2 ... figure3 FolderB index_html figure1 figure2 ... figure3 FolderC ... ... The DTML method showImage contains: ----------------- <div align="center"> <table cellpading="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"> <tr><td><img src="<dtml-var img>" width="400"></td> <tr><td><p>**********</p></td> </table> </div> ----------------- and the DTML document contains: ------------------- <dtml-var "showImage(img = 'figure1')"> ------------------- What should I put in "************" to get the title of the figure? I've tried: ---------------- <div align="center"> <table cellpading="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"> <tr><td><img src="<dtml-var img>" width="400"></td> <tr><td><p><dtml-var "_.getattr(_.getitem(img, 'title'))"></p></td> </table> </div> ---------------- but I get a Error Type: KeyError Error Value: figure1 and also tried: ---------------- <div align="center"> <table cellpading="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"> <tr><td><img src="<dtml-var img>" width="400"></td> <tr><td><p><dtml-with "img"><dtml-var title></dtml-with></p></td> </table> </div> ---------------- Error Type: KeyError Error Value: title So my question is: given a string, how can I get the object (and its attributes)? I've looked at the DTML guide and the ZQR but they only provide the syntax to getitem, getattr, ... not enough for me :( Any help will be very much appreciated. Thanx Rafa -- Linux. MessageDialog

Is there any way to create a MessageDialog from inside DTML? I'm doing some <dtml-calls> in a DTML method, and when they're finished I'd like to bring up a MessageDialog, instead of printing out a HTML page manually.

I'm running Zope at home on a dual-celeron 500 with a RAID array and a large data.fs (approaching 1.5gb). Whenever I need to stop or restart Zope it takes between 5 and 10 minutes to finish. Imagine embedding Microsoft XLS, Word, Visio, or any other form of native file within a ZODB objectstore (for an Intranet application)... How big can your data.fs store grow before it takes *hours* to roll forward transactions to quiesce Zope into a running state? How much pain are you willing to put up with before you drop versions and undo's to eliminate the need for transactions? It's beginning to look like the DBM store may be my best option. How much effort would it really take to store Zope pickles into LDAP space? :) - Ian C. The header file mysql.h has changed the definition of mysql_fetch_field_direct between 3.22.25 and 3.22.27. MySQLmodule.c as written upstream assumes 3.22.25 style definition. Updated LDAPAdapter product available

If you have a (http://www.csee.uq.edu.au/~leonard/dc-prj/ldapmodule/) working ldapmodule and a working ldap server, you might be interested in a revised version of a Zope product called LDAPAdapter (http://www.zope.org/Members/rossl/LDAPAdapter) which was hacked from the IMAPAdapter. It acts like an acl_users folder but allows authentication from an LDAP server. More usefully, it also grabs the names of the groups the user happens to be in and adds them to the user's roles (plus, LDAP of course) - this potentially allows you to manage zope roles (and thus access to zope objects) through your ldap groups. Seemed like a good idea to me anyway.
