I assume from the deathly silence which followed my request for info on interfaces between Informix and Zope that there is no such thing. However I believe that Python has such an interface. Can anyone give me somewhere to start looking to see what might be involved in developing a Zope interface for Informix myself. Many thanks. Richard Moon

Problems upgrading - broken ZClass instances

I'm moving machines and upgrading Zope, so I moved the old Data.fs* from machine A (zope 2.0.1) and moved them into an installation of 2.1.0b1 on machine B. As a result, all my ZClass instances are now broken - the say: recipes (This object from the unknown product is broken!) and I'm getting errors on startup such as ImportError: No module named *5imovKZn6trBy2xCM8ycbg== ------ 1999-11-07T08:26:06 ERROR(200) ZODB Couldn't load state for '\000\000\000\000\000\000\000\002' and in fact none of my ZClasses have that value. Any ideas?

has_permission unauthorized

Hi, in my navigation bar I would like to make some links only to show up if the user has the right to view the the objects. I tried:  <A HREF="Test">Test</A>  When the user is alliwed to view the object the link is shown :) But when the user has no right to view the object I get an error message that "AUTHENTICATED_USER.has_permission('View', Test)" is unauthorized. I removed all rights for anonymous user from that folder and the folder does not acquire any settings from its parent. Any help appreciated. Viewing dtml code

Hi, I would like to see the dtml code for following URLs but it is not available via the /view_source suffix. www.zope.org/Members/mail_password which is called from www.zope.org/Members/mail_password_form http://www.zope.org/Register/register called from http://www.zope.org/Register/register.html (and probably anything else in the Register Folder) Could someone with the relevant access to Zope's site, please send these files over. Hyperlinks and acquisition...

My site structure looks like this: +WELCOME +QUERY QUERY_INPUT QUERY_RESULTS Normally the user would go to the search folder, and do their searches there. Results are shown on query/query_results If I embed the query screen in the welcome page, using <dtml-with QUERY> <dtml-var QUERY_INPUT> </dtml-with> This breaks the hyperlink, since it takes the user to welcome/query_results I tried this <dtml-call "RESPONSE.setBase(URL2 + '/QUERY')> <dtml-with QUERY> <dtml-var QUERY_INPUT> </dtml-with> But then it breaks my other links on the page. dtml-var and the fmt attribute

Trying to set the fmt of a dtml-var tag conditionally: <dtml-if "ord==2"> <dtml-call REQUEST.set('cell_fmt','%3d')> <dtml-else> <dtml-call REQUEST.set('cell_fmt','%3.2f')> </dtml-if>  This barfs.... Any workarounds? TIA. Chui

Comma delimited file and the re python object

I am trying to import a comma delimited ascii file via Python. naturally the pattern: , will not work as there might be a comma inside the text. the pattern "," wont work either as there as the numbers are not enclosed in quotes. Overriding root URL for tree links, how?

Whenever somebody clicks on the "plus" or "minus" icons of a tree, I need to pass the request's query as well. Unfortunately, it seems that, while you can override the root URL, Zope's tree tag always prepends the "?" before its tree variables, thus: <dtml-with "_.namespace(URL = 'Edit?Id:int=' + _.str(REQUEST.ItemId) + '&'"> <dtml-tree ...> ... </dtml-tree> </dtml-with> For the icons, the tree tag constructs HTML such as <A NAME="151167"><A HREF="Edit?ItemId:int=1&?tree-c=eJyLVneEgWxPW3UdBUNTQ0Mz81gASooFwg#15116 7"><IMG SRC="/p_/mi" BORDER=0></A></A> So I've hacked TreeTag.py quick and dirty-like to check for a terminating "&" in the root URL. If present, it will pass the root URL as is; if not present, it will append the "?" delimiter. This is ugly, but works. Btw, it seems that <dtml-tree url="..."> doesn't have any influence. Why not? Q: why does id evaluates to <string>?

I have created a zclass and created some instances. When I look at them in the management interface, though they have an id when listed in a folder, when I click on the link to manage the object, there is no id on the contents page. When I try to reference the object in a URL, Zope returns <space> instead of the id. If this is comprehensible to someone and they know what I'm doing wrong - either in defining the zclass or referring to instances, could you enlighten me? Thanks.
