regex question

I have never been much of a regex master, and I am having difficulty constructing one that should be fairly simple. I want to find all the text that is between <body> and </body> in a variable that may (and probably will) contain newlines. I am removing case insensitive searches in the following examples in order to make the regex's simpler. To grab find the opening <body> tag, I have '<[\t ]*body[\t ]*.*>' which is almost correct, but not quite. This expression finds <bodystuff>, too, so I really need something that finds '<\t ]*body(\t ]+.*>)|(>)', but I can't find a construct that works. Basically, it needs at least one whitespace followed by stuff followed by '>', or else it needs no whitespace followed by '>' I can use similar code to find the </body> tag. However, putting those two together around a \(\(.*\n*\)*\), in order to match all the text between the <body> and </body> tags sends python into an infinite loop. It doesn't like it when I try to match an unlimited number of lines.before the </body> tag I could use two regsub.split calls to break the variable into its respective parts (assuming I can sort out the first problem), but regsub is written in python, while regex is written in c (or so I am told), so I would prefer to use regex. Please help. Generally, whenever I ask a mailing list for regex help, it always turns out to be somehing boneheaded that I am missing, so try not to laugh at me ;-) --sam

ZOracle - support for LOB [Q]

Hello. I am trying to fetch and insert LOB fields into Oracle8i... I have read the DCOracle.txt where it states that LOB are supported if fetchdone() is used. But are LOB supported using ZOracleDA? Has someone set up some Zope site using LOBs in Oracle8i? I need to store articles from our writers that are supposed to be superior to 4KB in size so VARCHAR2 is not enough and we do not want to store them in separate files because we want to have all inside our Oracle Database. Sorry to post so many questions in so many days, but we are getting closer to release date and I am trying to finish all our development. Your problem is *probably* that you are calling the method with arguments in the wrong order. manage_addFile expects, id, then the file, then the title. A traceback would tell us for sure. -Michel

This is basically a dummied down version of Zope with some stuff for free. It has a scheduler and event driven emails which Zope doesn't have (how would I produce an event when someone creates a new document in a certain folder using Zope?). It would be an interesting exercise to create a manila interface on top of Zope. I would imagine that something that the PTK will make easier. How can I use manage_addFile???

Hello I have a problem with this function call: newdriver (dtml name) --------------------------------------------------------------  -------------------------------------------------------------- When I call this I get: Error Type: UnpickleableError Error Value: Cannot pickle objects I want to create a new file (upload a file) (PDF File or Zip File for example). Hi Anders, This looks like a Python list var. When several form fields have the same name their content is returned in a Python list. I suppose you're seeing the list content is raw form. In a DTML method you can loop on the list with: <dtml-in yourList> You value is: <dtml-var sequence-item> </dtml-in> I suppose you can do something similar in a Z SQL method. HTH.
