SQL or DTML problem?

Hi everybody! I'm a beginner with Zope&DTML, and currently I'm trying to make a kind of dynamic interactive DB,using Zope. However I faced some basic problems right at the beginning. Maybe somebody could help me..? Do you know, maybe why this type of quiry, when being tested, always gives me a message that "Python performed an illigal operation and will be shut down" ?? ____________________________________________________________________ SELECT Members.MName, Languages.Language, Members.MCode FROM Members INNER JOIN Languages ON Members.MCode = Languages.MCode      _____________________________________________________________________ Can it be that I define arguments in the ZSQL method-form in a wrong way?? I separated them with a space like this "Arguments: age place". Is it possible somehow to ADD or MODIFY data in a DB (which is kept in Access) through a Zope web-page. And if yes - what could be an implementation template? Thank you in advance. Looking forward to your replies... Lena

Hmm... I'm not sure if this is what your looking for, but if an object is not aquired, then it's not wrapped, if it's not wrapped, then it doesn't have the attributes aq_base, aq_self, and aq_parent. Setting up variables

this is probably remarkably simple, but how do you create a variable with zope that would act as a counter within a page i.e a variable that could be incremented in a loop. I know you can use the changeProperty method on a property item, but this will not work if more than one person is viewing the site at once. Hello, I trashed my archives, and I can't manage to remember this. If someone could remind me this one... How can I test if an object is not acquired? aborting DTML parsing partway through a document.

I've got a product that gets included at the top of a document, with, eg, . This product checks for various fields being set, inserts some HTML if they are set, but if not, I want it to insert some different HTML, then abort rendering the page any further. What's the easiest way to do this? I'd prefer not to have to put some sort of  wrapper around the rest of the content of each page. Do I simply have to raise an exception of some sort, with the HTML I wish to show as the value? Anthony

Multiple selections from checkbox form - and others...

Hi! Got some questions that I hope you people can help me out with. 1) I want to manage a messagebord, mainly to remove unwanted/old messages. The messages are stored in a MySQL db. I have a sql method that select wanted data. I use the method in a form in a #in tag to displays the selected data, within the #in tag I added a <INPUT TYPE="checkbox" NAME="checked" VALUE=1>. I also have a hidden field submitting the id fields reffering to each selected record within the above mentioned #in tag. All looks just fine - the data is listed and checkboxes appear as they should. But trouble is - submitting the forms data will give me a list of 1's (only the checked out is submitted), and a list of _all_ selected row ids. I need just the ids corresponding to the checked out records. If it's at all possible - please tell me how to. 2) The DateTime module gives me all errors (on linux 2.0.35, zope 1.10.2, europe (error in timezone?) - is this something that'll be fixed in new zope releases, or does it exist a patch for it already? 3) I have a dtml_method called setup that handles the main look at my site. The method calls several other methods (content, navbar and links) and is initially beeing called from within index_html. How can I use the setup method from another dtml_method but have it so that the content method normally beeing called from setup be some other method (new_method)? Timezones

As I work in Australia I would like to add support for our timezones to the DateTime/DateTimeZone files. Adding the data to DateTime.py is fine but can anyone describe the format of the data in DateTimeZone.py as it somewhat cryptic to say the least ? TIA Robert Leftwich
