Here is the solution for my some minutes before posted question: the only thing which was wrong was the quote-char, if I use "'" right-qote instead of "´" (on my keyboard it looks like a vertical quote) it works. Hi, I try to accomplish a very simple thing: the select statement shall finally look like this: select * from data where name LIKE 'Ab%' As input in form the user should only give "Ab" and the "%" should be added by default. I tried: select * from data where name LIKE  but that gives a name + ´%´ ^ SyntaxError: invalid syntax Any help is welcome Joachim Schmitz

Authentication return weird string

Hello, I'm having problems with the AUTHENTICATED_USER variable. Normally, when the administrator authenticates itself, I should have the 'Manager' role returned by the AUTHENTICATED_USER.getRoles() method, right ? When I logon, and then access a web page with the following snippet:  You have the following roles:  <LI>   You have no roles defined.  I get 'manage' as a role, and not 'Manager' !? When browsing without authenticating, I get 'Anonymous', which is right. I'm using Zope 2.0a2, under Linux with Apache and PCGI to send requests to ZServer. For the authorizations, I'm passing them in httpd.conf with: RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP:Authorization} ^(.*) RewriteRule ^/(.*) /usr/local/Zope/Zope.cgi/$1 [last,e=HTTP_CGI_AUTHORIZATION:%1 Is this a bug from Zope, from the PCGI wrapper, from Apache, from me, or is it normal and if so, what did I miss ? [ANN: Zope source and binaries for Windows v3]

Hi all, I've posted a new release of the Zope source (and binary) patches. Located at http://student.uq.edu.au/~s341625/ temporarily until I move to a machine with a faster network connection. This file includes: * Binaries for Zope under windows * Makefiles for Visual C 5.0+ * Scripts to generate the above You need the Python 1.5.2 and Zope a2 sources to use the binaries. What's new? * Patches & fixes so it works with SquishDot * Streamlined install * Binary patches so the DC staff can get back to work instead of answering questions about windows binaries ;) * Modified README.txt slightly NOTE: This file is completely unsupported but does work;) I suggest people using old versions upgrade as old versions may have other, undiscovered bugs. Updating DAs for Zope 2.0

Has ZPyGreSQLDA been updated for Zope 2.0? If not, how hard is it to update an existing DA? Assume I'm willing to cheat and use a global lock if necessary. ;-) If it's too much work to update ZPyGreSQLDA, when will the MySQL DA be ready? Cheers, Eric

Zeus supports ISAPI, so you could, theoretically at least, use my ISAPI extension DLL (see the archives or http://www.zope.org/ for the announcement). The extension DLL has not been tested with Zeus, although I'd be happy to hear any reports of success/failure. Split the list again?

I think it may be time to revisit the issue of splitting the main zope(a)zope.org list. Proposed sub-lists: zope-install (compiling, installing zope, apache issues, etc.) zope-announce (zope and product announcements, including commercial services, moderated) zope-bugs (zope bugs, what else did you expect?) still having permissions problems

I'm still unable to get this running on port 80. Hi! When clicking the advanced screen on Z SQL Method (Zope 2.0.0a2-src), you see: You may specify a class for the data records. This class must be defined in a file that resides in the Extensions directory of this Principia installation. Class name The imperative here is Principia. Should probably be Z or ZOPE ;) Andreas -- Win95: n., A huge annoying boot virus that causes random spontaneous system crashes, usually just before saving a massive project. Easily cured by UNIX. See also MS-DOS, IBM-DOS, DR-DOS, Win 3.x, Win98.
