Problem with tree and Navigation product revisited

Hi, I'm trying to use the Navigation product in a tree but I got a problem. The file and document are being rendered as folders which contents are the contents of its parent folders. The tree is defined by the following dtml statement: <dtml-tree branches_expr="navigate_filter('private', 'no', ['Folder','File', 'DTML Document'], 1)" sort=title skip_unauthorized=1 > Due to some obscure reason, the call to objectValues method in the navigate_filter function is not returning an empty list for non folder objects. I managed to workaround that problem by adding the code of navigate filter to the ObjectManager class. I add another method with the same name to the class SimpleItem but which returns (). If I don't add that method to SimpleItem I get the behaviour described above. Questions: 1) Is it a feature or a bug of Navigation produtc? 2) There isn't a more elegant way to solve the problem? Our apologies - the zope list was down temporarily, and i expect that at least five messages have been lost. If you sent a message but got back an "unknown mailer error", try resending your message - things should be back in operating order now. (We had to crank up the kernel file descriptor limit - we suspect that the current attention on slashdot (check it out) has spiked our visits beyond what our system has previously seen, and mailman choked on the file descriptor max at a bad time. Newbie can't config Linux Apache & Zope

Hi -- We're running Linux RH 6, trying to use Apache & Zope; Apache works on its own but, despite trying to follow the documentation on Apache configuration, it seems that Apcahe won't pass authentication to Zserver. Zserver is running but remote browser access results in the error below. We're probably overlooking something obvious... Can you help? Checking types in DTML?

Hi all, Let me state what I'm trying to do, then the problem I've run into with my solution. I have a series of HTML option inputs, all with the same name and a unique value: <input type="checkbox" name="removeLine" value="6"> <input type="checkbox" name="removeLine" value="7"> <input type="checkbox" name="removeLine" value="8"> In the DTML method that processes the form, if a single check box on the form was selected, I get a string with the value, eg. removeID = '4'. If more than one is checked, I get a list: ['32', '34', '50'] The dtml-in tag chokes if passed a string, but works fine for the list. So, my solution was to test for the type of removeID before using dtml-in: <dtml-if "type(removeID) is types.StringType"> treat as string <dtml-else> treat as list </dtml-if> 1) This does not work; I get a NameError on 'type'. How do I reference built-in functions? The documentation does not mention type() as existing on the _ variable, and indeed, "_.type(removeID)" does not work either. 2) Is there a more elegant way to solve this problem than checking the type? zope with apache and mod_rewrite

hi there, now i am using zope for 6 weeks (redhat-linux), i allready have built one larger website and two projectsites with it and i am amazed. but: i do not manage to run my apache with it. if i browse www.myhost.com/cgi-bin/Zope.cgi then i am into it, and i can access all the objects which are accessible for anonymus, but authorization fails. i followed the instructions in webserver.txt, i read jeffersons pcgi-page, i tried engelschalls mod_rewrite-guide. at this point i am desperated. heres my virtual host-container: <VirtualHost 195.177.128.2> ServerAdmin ... SMTP Error

Hello again, There was no reply (so far) to the item I sent yesterday, so I though it might be simpler to deal with if I included the traceback. I, and apparently others, have tried any number of possible ways to set up a Mailhost Object, and the example forms, but the best I can get is an occasional variation in the error message, such as when I mistype the SMTP server name. We have Zope2 running on Sun/Sparc/Solaris 2.6. I have tried using several valid SMTP mailhost(s) , but they all say the recipient is not there. This sounds very much like a post at Squishdot, which I copied to the Zope list yesterday. In that case the Squishdot user reported that the recipient data was indeed missing, and so the mail was not deliverable. Any Ideas?
