Set the PYTHONPATH environment variable to include the directory in which the module resides. attributeerror installing squishdot

hi not sure whether this is the place to ask, but here goes. downloaded squishdot0.1.5b. got tinytableb2 also. installed as products. tried creating an instance of squishdot. the problem. the vanilla instance got added. i can add article but can't reply to the article. got an AttributError , value regs. the same error occurred if i tried to create a fancy squishdot instance. this is zope 2.0.1 on rh. here's the traceback:  thanks

importing Python extensions

If I have a python extention complied into a shared object (.so file) I can import it if it's in the current directory. If I want to import it into a Zope External Method where should I place it in order for it to be found on import? Placing it in the Extensions directory doesn't work. thanks -- -chad

I answered my own question...Sorry for wasting bandwidth. In case this would be useful to anyone else, this is a (previously unrecognized by me) symptom of the older regex-dependent Squishdot. I had inadvertantly downgraded SD after upgrading to Zope 2.0.1. Replacing Squishdot.py with the version using re fixed the problem. In her current forum, Maggie Biggs postulates that middleware will be the area where Linux will grow most in the near future. She asks: "Has anyone here implemented Lotus Domino on Linux? Or, what about using Zope or Enhydra for application serving? What other Linux-based middleware products have you investigated?" It denotes server apps that sit in a "middle tier" of an n-tiered distributed system (such as a web-based database front-end, which is positioned between the client and the database server). Having problems with SQL methods

I have an SQL method: ID: insert_call_data.sql TITLE: Insert Call Data Query ARGUMENTS: user_id, call_type_id, call_desc, call_date, costcode_id Query Template: INSERT INTO calls (user_id, call_type_id, call_desc, call_date, costcode_id) VALUES ( <dtml-sqlvar user_id type=int>, <dtml-sqlvar call_type_id type=int>, <dtml-sqlvar call_desc type=string>, <dtml-sqlvar call_date type=nb>, <dtml-sqlvar costcode_id type=int> ); When I do a change and test, I get the form to fill out, and I fill out the arguments.
