Hello everyone: Just wanted to give everyone an update on our documentation effort. First, I am pleasantly flabbergasted at the number, variety and depth of the How-Tos contributed by the community! Z server

If Z Server is base on medusa, and medusa is HTTP compliant and also manages the CGI protocol 1.1 version, how come you can not run on it, perl scrips or others as you can on apache for example, or is there a way to configure a cgi-bin directory fo Z server and have excecution priviledges for other cgis like perl for example? so is this possible and still have zope working right? Please, please someone help me out I know this issues must be very easy, for many of you to solve, don´t leave me alone here!.... Hello, I know I must have mist something really obvious but still, has anyone installed the knowledge product?, I have imported it fine, I see the FAQ anf KB entry options in my selection menu it works but I just can not find the way to set the forms to appear on the site for public view, because if you select either the FAQ or the KB Entry you get a form, and the procedure to create the two methods mention on the zope zite will just list all ready made entries, but there is no way to set the input forms to be displayed on the site (for the users), what am I missing here, cud some one help me? Also If I understand correctly ZOBD3 replaced boboPOS one , there is an example of a job board on the old zope site which I guess was design to work with zope 1.x but fails with version 2.x is there a guide or how'to to upgrade it and make it work on zope 2.0 ? One interesting thing is that ZOBD3 being a transactional object databaseand for example Mysql that is not, when use together you do get the benefits of transactional Databases because zope will rollback if anything goes wrong as a transactional database should do, and I think this is great you almost have the best of both worlds without any penalty isn't that great? You must import Zope first in order to use them from Python. Newbie questions re SQL Methods

I�m building a few simple SQL Methods to learn my way around. (1) Does Gadfly support a �date� data type? I keep getting failures in attempts to create new tables with column type DATE, but same SQL succeeds when DATE is changed to VARCHAR This failed� CREATE TABLE pimtest ( First_Name VARCHAR, Last_Name VARCHAR, State VARCHAR, Home_Phone VARCHAR, First_Entered DATE, Last_Modified DATE) This succeeded� CREATE TABLE pimtest ( First_Name VARCHAR, Last_Name VARCHAR, State VARCHAR, Home_Phone VARCHAR, First_Entered VARCHAR, Last_Modified VARCHAR) (2) Also, adding field length to seemed to make table creation fail. Am I doing something wrong there? VARCHAR worked OK VARCHAR(12) failed Thanks! TinyTables

Hi, I'd like to play with the advanced features in Squishdot, however it requires TinyTables. TinyTables is not bundled with Zope 2 (the binary distribution, anyway). I can't find TinyTables on www.zope.org. I can't find it anywhere on the WWW, in fact. Where is this essential, yet difficult to find, piece of software located? Thanks, Guy

hi, I've just downloaded the 2.01 Win32 version, and the latest ODBC adapter.
