Hello, I want to log information about users that makes a order on our website. Especially the IP-address. So i need a way to get this IP over DTML. The user have to login on our page befor he is able to order. If someone has an idea or solution please write me. SecurID with Zope?

Thank you very much. I tried it a bit, and it seems fine, except for the cut-n-paste problem: if I activate a dtml method as acess rule in a folder, then I cut and paste it to another folder, the icon still shows it as activated in the new folder, whereas in reality it is not active. I believe that would work for adding DTML Methods, but when I want to add an instance of my ZClass I do something like this in DTML code: <dtml-call "FooClass_add(_.None, _, NoRedir=1)"> what is the equivalent Python code? Zope and Debian

I was using Zope just fine with my redhat install, but for a variety of reasons I needed to upgrade to Debian. Zope installed fine (can't wait to see new packages for the recently released upgrade ^_^) but I'm curious as to how one is supposed to use the netscape in debian to edit zope sites. I am currently using Netscape 4.61, as that's the recommended default, but this is also true of 4.08, 4.61, and 4.7. If I go to my RedHat box, sitting right next door, and use any of these versions of netscape, everything works fine. The problem is: I go to my site. I click on a folder. I select 'add dtml method' from the menu. I type anything for the title and ID: then I hit 'add', or 'add and edit'. The status bar changes to "Connect: Host www.twistedmatrix.com:8080 contacted. Watiting for reply..." but nothing happens after that. This is not a general problem with HTTP POST, as it only happens when I access Zope (and only the 'add dtml method' and 'add dtml document' screens -- I can add users and edit documents just fine!) Mozilla on the same machine works fine. When netscape fails, no line ever shows up in /var/lib/zope/var/Z2.log, so I assume it's never sending any query. The client is helix.twistedmatrix.com, the server is www.twistedmatrix.com. Lynx also doesn't work, but I won't get into that =) ---- The Tao is like a glob pattern: It is masked but always present. used but never used up. I don't know who built to it. Delete permission weirdness?

Hi all, I have stumbled across this rather interesting behaviour: Consider a situation where you have a DTML method within a Folder object. For a user-defined role "MyRole" you enable "Delete objects" permission on the Folder. But for the DTML method, you turn off "Acquire permission" and make sure the delete permission is off for everyone (even "Manager"). Why does Zope still allow a user in the "MyRole" group to delete the object? Regards, Chris

PIL & Zope

Hi! I'm trying to move from a Linux development version of Zope to an NT production server (don't ask; not my choice). A section of my site uses the PIL library in conjunction with the Photo class. I'm looking for a precompiled version of the PIL library for Win32 that DOES NOT link with Tcl/Tk. The Debian-packaged version of the PIL doesn't link with Tcl/Tk, but the Pythonware-packaged one for Win32 does. I don't want to install more crud on this server, as they are doing me a favor by letting me install Zope. Does anyone know of a precompiled copy of PIL for Win32 without Tcl/Tk? DataCorruption (follow-up to My Data.fs won't pack with 2.1.3)

After the failed pack (see: My Data.fs won't pack with 2.1.3), I find some objects with the wrong icon.
