I am just a beginner and I find very difficult to find how works some "stupid" functionality. What I would like is a structurated book (not 5 small documents one independent from the other) with a lot of example running on the web and the possibility to see (without any modification) the configuration of that demos as I see my application here in my office. Zope and ODBC

Some time ago I asked a question about some error I received when trying to do a SQL SELECT query. I didn't receive any reaction on that, and I couldn't find any mention of it on the Zope.org site, so I'll just ask it again.. I was running it on Windows NT 4 SP5, using the ZODBC product on Zope 2.1.2. images within property sheets

Hi everyone, Can one add dtml methods within property sheet fields which will work? I add images (dtml-var) inside an object and try to reference those images in that objects property sheets (a text field), but I can't do it. (For that matter, I can't add any dtml script in my property sheets, so I must be missing something conceptual here) Via property sheets, the only images I can reference are the images that I am storing in Apache or elsewhere. Any answers very much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Tom

I can't recall the exact order of events, but it does mean that WebFolders could not detect a WebDAV server. Is there a proxy or a firewall in between you machine and the Zope server? Or is the Zope server placed behind another web server (like Apache, IIS, or something). Then it is very likely that the OPTIONS request is filtered out before it reaches Zope. In the case of a proxy or firewall: Get it to pass your requests untouched, or bypass them completely. Upgrading Zope - Effect on Z Classes

Hello All, I'm trying to upgrade a Zope 2.0.1 site to 2.1.2. I used http://www.zope.org/Members/mcdonc/HowTos/zopeinstall/ZOPE-INSTALL-HOWTO <http://www.zope.org/Members/mcdonc/HowTos/zopeinstall/ZOPE-INSTALL-HOWTO> as a reference guide. Everything seems to have worked fine except for a Z class that I had previously created. I created a new product as described in http://www.zope.org/Members/lstaffor/zProperties <http://www.zope.org/Members/lstaffor/zProperties> After performing the upgrade, the product is no longer functional. As an alternate route, I tried exporting the product to a .zexp file. That worked fine, but I was then unable to import the file into the new Zope instance. Is there an upgrade path for Z Classes that I am as yet unaware of? I still consider myself a newbie. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help provided. -Mark

Zope on BSDI BSD/OS 3.1 ... help

Hello guys, I'm trying to use ZOPE on a virtual server BSDI BSD/OS 3.1 system. I'm having trouble building from the source and my ISP is not being very helpful. Does someone already made a binary for this platform? It would be a great thing to run zope on a virtual server (at least for me). But I could not find a ISP with such a supported service. Anyone knows of one? thanks
